We used to go to the beach every week when we were younger. My father would teach us to float and do some swimming tricks, but I didn't really take formal swimming classes. It was just out of constantly being in the beach that I learned to swim.
I have friends who really took swimming lessons. But I do have friends who up until now don't know how to swim.
Do you know how to swim?
Who taught you how?

yes i know how to swim im a strong swimmmer, i got a life guard qualification at 12. My mum originally taught me then at my school it was cumpolosry that we went swimming so that helped. I love swimming in the sea dont like pools too much as sometimes there are too many chemicals in them and they make your eyes go sore.

Around here the only place where swiming is possible is at a stadium but for ladies it is at 5am and i cant wake early enough to go for it.I am still hoping some hotels will come up wid swimming facilites out here

Hello laydee. I have never learned how to swim because when I was a child, my mother never allowed me to learn to swim in the river where there were always some who got drowned each summer. It is a great pity that I don't know how to swim. I am glad that you know how and thus you can enjoy yourself by swimming.

We were a bunch of four boys. My brother, two cousion and I who used to go to river almost every day in summer time. We all get to know swimming by our self. I was the one who took the longest because even if I could swim, I was afraid of going into deep water but we get to know it by ourself and to make us more happier, it was our group who crossed the river "Ganga" by swimming at first from our place. It used to take 45 minutes to cross that river! I had crossed it twice in 24 hours!

Hello. When we were in second year college, we had swimming for our Physical Education class. So it was our professor who taught us how to swim. Some of use already knew how to swim, while me, it was only by that time that I learned to. But still, I have difficulties in some of the strokes. I still have fear of diving but the basics, I have learned it well I suppose. When I finally learned how to swim, I was really happy because many people cannot swim and I am one of those lucky to learn and be able to do it.
