should everyone post some then respond to some as a form of etiquette?

what's your take on some mylotters who seem to just post and post and doesn't care to reply to others' posts? am not waging a war here but i thought that as a community we should help each other and not take advantage of those who see to it that fair is fair in the aspect of making sure other mylotters earn from our response and we also earn (a little more) from our posts.

In my opinion there are enough discussions already started without the need for new ones for many weeks to come. Idon't start many at all and then respond on at least one started by allthose who respond on mine. I too have seen some users that just churn out new discussions and many times they never get back to comment - so that is not even a dicussion

And some are like factories of discussions! They don't seem to run out of anything.

Hi Ritchelle, I hope you aren't talking about me. Not that I am guilty! These past few weeks? days? months?, I haven't been performing the usual way because of the many priorities I had to pay attention to first. I do respond selectively to my created discussions and to responders whose answers/responses seem easy to answer and set aside for the meantime those whose responses seem to need more time to think up of an answer. I know I have skipped on your response because I just want to give you a quality post when I have ample time! Anyway, going back to your question, I do respond back to almost everyone (if i can) because everybody deserves to be acknowledged for their efforts. If an author don't answer back, I let them be. Why be affected? Besides my myLot life can go on without these people.

ritchelle yes we should all do that post and respond and comment on responses on our own discussions as its the polite and best thing to do.its only fair to show those who respond to us that we appreciate their taking the time to do so.

Offline, if we ask a question, we don't turn our backs on the person we are talking to do we? Surely we wait until they have responded before moving on and asking another question to someone else? Why should online be any different?

I joined myLot just not long ago, but it seems that the situation is not as what you mentioned. When I post a question, many other answered me. I also answer a number of post, too. What's more, as I know, myLot are not just pays to post question, it pays to response too. So, no matter in the view of our own interest, or the interest of myLot as a whole, there should be quite a number of people responding to different question.

i was way into my 500th post when i started encountering these types of members. one of these days you'd feel being taken advantaged of. anyway, the bad feeling stops there. am not answering anymore of their posts and will spend sometime on other mylotters who are considerate .
