I probably wouldn't unless it was a trusted friend. And even then, they'd better be able to have everything sterilized or I wouldn't trust it. I do have some friends with access to an autoclave, but as far as I know none of them do their own piercings or pierce others. They go to the place they recommended that I go to.

yeah i recommend certain places for friends, but i do sterilize everything. its safe and i tell my friends that! i tell them all the risks...which have nothing to do with my equipment. they just want to help me build my portfolio, so they let me pierce.

As long as it was all sterilized and I could trust the piercing would end up in the right spot, then sure.
It's funny now that I think about it, I've done a lot of things on myself that normally people would go to the doctor for (if they had insurance). For example, if I get an injury where fluid builds up, I will drain it myself. Or if I break a finger I'll set it myself rather than go in and pay over a thousand dollars. So why not let a friend who is good at piercing do it rather than go somewhere?

No I wouldn't take the chance. I need to see a person is certified to do that or any other type of invasion of the body.
