First I would tell them that I have survived nearly 35 years after school and they have not done that, so I have learnt a thing or two. Many of them acquired through a process of trial and error so I feel that I do soome wisdom. Then I would come to the main address where I should offer advice that wil inspire them to go out and lead productive lives. Therefore I would ofer the following observations: 1. Remember, now and then that you are alive and give thanks for this. You were created and for a tiniest moment in the great span of eternity you have the privilege to exist. So don't blow it by doing drugs! 2.You are wondeful but there are about 5 billion other poele on this planet who are also wonderful. Don't make the mistake of thinking that you are of more importance than they are. Give ocnsideration to others. 3.What ever you want to do in life then do it. Don't have regrets. 4.Don't make the sad and foolish mistake in believing that winning is everything. That's sick. Winning is not everything. Taking part is the main thing. Doing your best is the main thing. There's no disgrace in not winning. Also be amiable in defeat and believe me you will get enough practice at this one. 5.Don't cheat. At anything, You job, relationships, marriage, exams. It is not worth it. 6. Be happy. You are bright, young and beautiful and have your whole life ahead of you. 7.Reach out and love. The more love you give is the more love you are capable of generating. Everyone smiles in the same language so be pleasant and smile. Finally, I would tell them to be patient, be persistant and learn to listen to the voice of conscience. They would then class me a being old fashioned, wouldn't thewy? What do you think?

OF COURSE AT THAT AGE THEY THINK THEY KNOW EVERYTHING. bOY, HAVE THEY GOT ALOT TO LEARN & LIKE ME THEY'LL LEARN THE HARD WAY I'M AFRAID.I wish i had listen to more people w/experience than i did but we all learn from our mistakes. Hope u are having a good day. How did u do w/the freezer discussion??

I did well with the freezer - i think 29 responses so far and that is good. Thank you for suggesting it to me. Yes, we all have to learn by our own mistakes but maybe just one or two would listen.

I think you would make a wonderful guest speaker! Especially like the part about winning....it reminded me of one of my most favorite saying that was said by Winston Churchill......success is not final....failure is not fatal....it's the courage to continue that counts!

Thanks Jill I feel strongly about the winning part too. I am reminded of my third son who took part ion Prep School champs. He raced and won but was so indignant as he was told that he would not get the prize. He kept saying 'But I won' (he was 9 at the time)He was disqualified as he had tripped one boy in the race and pushed over two others! He got the message eventually
