Are Sonic video games getting worse??   

May be a little bit declined as the sonic franchise but at the same time it is a real classic fo video games and i am still seen about it with funny and simpathy!!
i think sonic unleashed was good as videogames and sonic as character very funny..so may be,as for many others characters in games,have a little bit low profile in this period but not so much..sonic still alive good

I think its going down hill, the sonic team has some pretty awesome ideas but it doesnt work to well when it comes time to play them, i just bought sonic adventures for the Dreamcast the other day and it seems to be a pretty awesome game.

It is getting worse and i think Sonic team is doing it on purpose.
Sonic team wants to make other games for once but sega keeps forcing them to make Sonic games.
but on the dreamcast Sega had other companies to make games so Sonic team was able to make more than just sonic games which is why sonic adventure 1 and 2 were fun.
Now that they dropped out of the console race they have to rely on Sonic team.
they were in the middle of making a game (can't remember what it is) and sego forced them to drop it so they can make sonic heroes, after one Sega ask for another.
this is why the series is declining.
They want to work on others, and they have almost not time to think of a story line.
Sega doesn't care though because they know that no matter how crappy a game is little kids will it this stuff up.

Sonic games know a days agreeably are not quit as original because of the day and age of gaming we are in. But in my opinion sonic is a classic, and thusly he, amy, tails, knuckels, big, cream, and shadow will never die.

Wow. Three bad games and suddenly the whole franchise is declining? Of course I'm talking about Shadow the Hedgehog, Sonic Riders, and Sonic '06. Anyway, the rest of the games were great. The main problem is that the beginning games were so good, nothing can beat them. The only game that came close was Sonic Adventure 2 Battle.

I think the Sonic Team is putting too much time and effort into the games' storylines and character appearances. The games themselves are still pretty fun, but the mini-movies and story things are just cheesy.

Of course they are! sonic games died in dreamcast, after that, nothing was good, expect for the gameboy games...

Well back in the good old days Sonic was great. I love most of Sonics games actually but I see a decline but I think its getting better. Sonic Unleashed was an amazing game! I loved it! I know people hated the werehog but I actually liked it but thats probably because I love hack and slashers/ beat-em ups anyway:-P
But anyway I think right now Sonic is hit and miss....I think they are good but some are better than others.
Sonic 1-3 -Megadrive + Master System - Excellent and my first ever games
Sonic Adventure -Dreamcast - loved it
Sonic Adventure 2 - Liked it better

Sonic Heroes -Gameplay was good but........very cheesy!!!
Sonc 06......it could have been great but glitches more than broke the game
Sonic Unleashed.......AMAZING!!! A real comeback
Sonic and the Secret Rings.....Great
Sonic and the Black Knight.......Most had bad comments but I liked it just.....FAR too short!oh and Shadow the Hedgehog......Is it a crime that I thought Shadow was badass with guns????:-P

Ok theres what I think of the main Sonic games.

Hmm yes I think so, but I did see this one cool game, where Sonic was like this evil character, I really liked that I have not played any Sonic games, since the old releases, but I would like to get back into playing these games again! have a great day!

Yes i agree. The new sonic games are not that good since most of them have the same gameplay. Graphics is also not that good since these new sonic games are now newer consoles.
I think the sonic franchise is really declining.
