are you having headaches when spending long hours in your computer?

I spend above 4hours per day but I didn't have such headache. I felt only sometimes not due to hours of times in spending before computer but when I am feeling very tensed at the day. When we think something not related to your work in computer, you will have some headache feeling. This is because of diverse thinking of brain. Either you have to concentrate on computer or else in your matter of concern.
There may be yet another reason for your headache, that is your eye may be affected. Sometimes, eye-defects can cause headache infront of computer. So, for this problem, you should wear eye-glass .
One more reason is your monitor may have "High Resolution" . Reduce the resolution of the monitor. This will help much. Or else put an transparent glass on monitor.

yes, same here! i am working everyday for 9 hours fronting a computer and it really gives me a bad headache.. until just recently, i went to a doctor to have my eye checked and there i was advised to wear an eyeglass with an ultraviolet radiation protection.. so now i am wearing it and my headache becomes better now.. i guess you should have it too for your own good!

I spend more or less at least seven hours a day except during Sundays. But sometimes when we are required to render overtime, still I spend more or less seven hours a day. A few months ago, I experienced headaches for more than a week. I went to an ophthalmologist and she told me that it was caused by stress. I have perfect vision. I am praying that spending long hours in computer would not be my problem because my work is related to computers. It's my only source of income.

Yes I also experienced the headaches for surfing long hours
in the computer. I think it is in the radiation of the pc.
But still try to manage and make some protection of eyes like
gogles to have it protected the great radiation.
I have no screen in my pc still I buy for it.
Think also that this is the side effects of spending time in
the computer.

See if you have headache from the computer sitting then there might be a reason that you have to wear spects.
But if you want to avoid this then i tell you some precaoution
1) Rinse your eyes every hour with cool water.
2) Eat vitamin A food too much.
3) keep atleast 2 feet gap from the computer screeen!

No, because i won't stay long if I will not enjoy what I'm doing in my computer. Spending lots of time in front of your computer is stressing.
I think you should put a filter in your monitor screen. Good thing if you are using an LCD screen you'll suffer less headache for sure.

oh yes! i do suffer headache wen spend more time on pc n i do feel pain in eyes too:( but pc has become our need we have to use pc everyday we want or not as our all uni work is related to pc

but yes u have to get used of using eyeglass it will give u relief

I used to wake up early in the morning in order to do some work on the computer and 4 hours would pass before I have breakfast. These days it is very easy to spend longer hours because of the internet. I once worked 16 hours everyday trying to understand the internet and how to make money on the internet. Cheers!!

I spend a LOT of time at my computer and so I have made sure I am comfortable where I have my computer set up, as I used to have the same problem you describe. Try sitting further from the screen or even consider changing to a smaller monitor. Try taking breaks every hour or so and go do something different for maybe 15 minutes.

I think you should get your eyes checked immediately...of all the sense organs, I consider the eyes to be the most precious, so dont neglect them.
I spend around 8hrs in front of the PC daily but I dont get headaches as such. My eyes do become dry and tired and I wear contact lenses so I have artificial tears to apply so my eyes stay lubricated. At home whenever I am working on the PC, I wear my eyeglasses though, as you say, they are quite inconvenient, esp in this heat.
