creative ways of recycling used boxes

I recycle boxes by keeping them so that when I have a gift to give that can't be wrapped easily, I put it inside the box before wrapping it. I also cut them, paint or wrap with paper, decorate, and use them or give them away as bookmarks. I just add some cute things with a nice quote.

A long time ago I made the cutest Easter baskets out of shoe boxes. You take and weave different colors from side to side.....then on the inside you secure them and line it.....they were absolutely beautiful. Other then that I just use them for storage.

I have used shoe boxes for barbie doll ardmoire (not sure of the spelling) I decorate the outside with wood grain looking scrapbooking paper and then I decorate the inside with different decorative paper. I then hang a dowel rod on the upper part of the shoe box and glue some wooden balls on the bottom of the box. My daughter and neices loved it.

I recyle shoe boxes. I sometimes cover with fabric, magazine articles with modge podge. They are great organizer.

I love to decorate what they call "bankers boxes" you know they are the kind of boxes that most file away old business files . .they come in both legal and letter sizes. Personally I like the letter size. .
What I do is start with contact paper . .that makes the box seamless . .and then sometimes I just have pictures from magazines or thoughts cut out and I decoupage them! Depends what I am going to use the box for . . . lets say it is for pictures that didnt make the photo album , . there seems to always be pictures that get stashed into different places so I have a place for them , ,and on those boxed I have printed out copies of the pictures that are inside. . and paste them onto the boxes. Then to finish it off I usually use a coat or 2 of polyurethane to keep it waterproof and strong!

They also line up great in any storage area and are so easy to get to . .for they have that cut out handle!

Great for books or albums or any memorabilia you dont know what to do with!
