Is watching TV a waste of time?

In my opinion, watching TV is much better than surfing on the internet. For me watching TV is a kind of relaxing habits. And when we watch TV we also have some spare time to do many other things.

I don't think watching TV is a waste of time.Watching TV let us a lot of things.And we need to know what happen every day in everywhere.The news paper can't tell the news as directly perceived as TVs do.I think watching TV is a kind of relax.So I like to watch TV,too.

Yup, it absolutely is, and some will say its a glorious way to waste your time I don't watch much television, I much prefer to waste my time on the Internet

No I dont think its a waste of time and money because watching it is a choice. Its our choice if we're going to watch it and if we ever feel like that then why buy a tv set and get cable subscription or something right? Like you said, its our time and money and its upon our discretion however we want to use it or not.

TV is no more a waste of time than reading fiction novels. TV is merely another medium by which to spread a message. Some messages are more valuable than others. As long is one is not neglecting one's responsibilities watching large amounts of TV is fine. In the modern world there are thousands of channels devoted to history, education, culture, travel, 24 hour news and weather and all sorts of other valuable programming.

Watching TV when you actually have loads of work is a waste of time, be it cricket or any soap. I have fallen into this many a times and later have felt the pressure of not doing the other work. Now-a-days wathching TV is not a leisure but of a must. I do believe that watching my fav shows on TV relieves me of stress, but if i get addicted to it it is surely a waste of time and resource. :)

I agree with your wife it's o.k once in while but not all the time it's better to sit out side or do some elese well the weather is nice.Plus it's not good to watch to much it's not good for you.I have a friend that's watchs all baseball games which is crazy he will not talk about them if you do talk to him the first thing he say basball nothing else which is sad I am trying to help him out but I don't think I doing very good job. cd

No i dont think watching tv is waste of time.But yes the channels we surf do have some importance and can be proved a swaste of time if watched all the time, watching something usefull which can give basic knowledge cannot be said as useless.And at last anything done in excess causes harm and yes they are also called as useless too. :)
