| | Hi, It's actually quite easy to download and upload a new wordpress theme - at least once you've done it the first time :-) it can be a bit scary the first time you try. Once you've found the theme you want to use - download it to your computer. This theme will probably be zipped so you'll need to unzip it (winzip, winrar etc) once you have it unzipped it's just a matter of uploading the whole folder to your blog. If you have an ftp program of some description it'll make it a whole lot easier otherwise you'll need to go into your hosting control panel and do it via the file manager. Via your ftp etc open your blog folder then open the wp-content folder inside that you'll see two other folders wp-plugins and wp-themes - open your themes folder and upload the entire folder for your new theme into there. Once it's uploaded go to your blog's dashboard and activate it. And you're done | | | | | | |

| | Hi, No, sorry if you blog is hosted at wordpress.com then you're pretty much stuck with the default themes. You can't upload any new themes or plugins etc when it's hosted there. To get the most out of wordpress I'd suggest either getting your own hosting or using one of the many free hosts that are wordpress enabled - freehostia.com for example | | | |

| | Hi, Freehostia must be changing it's terms or something. It's always just been free (though you can upgrade etc) your best bet would be to just do a search for hosts that provide wordpress or have mysql database access (you need the database to run wordpress) generally the hosting will either already be wordpress enabled (you can set it up via something called fantastico - which has lots of other applications as well) or you can upload the entire wordpress blog via ftp or your file manager. | | | |
