I cook onions with almost everything I cook. just about every meal has one onion in it. I keep a large supply at all times, just because I go through onions so fast. I like to keep them in the fridge so that when I cut them they don't make me cry (as much). If you want a few onion specific recipes, message me.

I like raw onions in burger or sandwiches and salads, I always put onions also when cooking. I don't get teary eyes if I only have to cut or slice one onion, but if I have to slice more than one, it brings out all my emotions.

I can't think of many things I cook without using onions but my favourite cooked version is roasted shallots in the pan with roast chicken, they are so sweet when they are cooked. The best way to avoid the tears is to run the pulse points in your wrists under the cold water tap.

I cook with onions all the time. Most of the time my kids will try to pick it out so a trick that I use to get the flavour of the onion without having to watch them pick through their food is to grate the onion. I use a regular box grater that is used for cheese and I just grate away. You end up with really squishy, soft onion pieces and a lot of onion "juice" which will flavour your food. You can also do this with garlic if people in your house don't want garlic pieces in their meal. I happen to love the taste of onion and garlic and use them both all the time.

I tell you my real story!!! It was month of May 2006. I was teaching computer to students... And it was noon time instead of taking lunch... i took some snaks and ate a one full oninon...But as I was taking compute practicle in LAB the girl which was near me said "Sir I dont like raw onion smell". From on that day I left eating raw onion. Though my friends are still saying that in summer it happens that oninon smell comes too much... But I dont dare to start eating oninon!!! This is reality.

Hi Kalaga, I love onions in any form but have had to cut down on them because of their very high sugar content. I don't eat them as a separate item but still add them to curries and stir fries etc. When you are preparing onions put a clothes peg on your nose and breath through your mouth. This will stop the tears.

I love onion, specially the zing if raw onions. I can have raw onions with anything to make the food more spicy and tasty. While cooking too, I’ll add onions wherever the recipe calls for it. I don’t like the smell definitely, but I’ll chew some mouth freshener or brush me teeth and I’m OK.

Oninon is good for a lot of things, not just only digestion, it is better than a dozen of drugs ..
I myself like to eat it cooked with meat, tomato, or vegetables ..
and like to have its taste in my salad

I like to add some kind of onion to almost everything I make. I like the way it tastes both raw or cooked. I do not like the smell of it when it's raw though. To prevent tears when chopping, I avoid cutting the base of it, because that is where most of the gases hide.
