Hey jan! You are not alone in this feeling about wanting to
see the sun! We too are having the same weather! We just can't
get to see the sun either! It has been cloudy, rainy and cool!
Not anything like June weather at all! It is just plain
ridiculous! Even the weathermen are confused! It is almost
officially summer and the weather doesn't seem to know that
either! It has been so dreary and depressing! And it is
actually cold here! Right now the temperature is only 62
degrees! Not anywhere near what June weather is supposed to
be and we had some really nasty thunderstorms too! Can't
wait to see is summer will arrive!

I think we all are just getting freaky weather, too much rain, too many bad storms
and then some parts are just burning up with no rain..WTF???
Now we've had a few days of the really BAD HEAT...and my poor body just can't
adjust to it, I'm breathing hard, my Dad is breathing hard...YIKES!
THE LOVELY AC IS RUNNING FULL TILT...(g)!
PRAISE BE FOR THE AIR CONDITIONING!!...
Yeah those days of rain and more rain just really really depress me, to where I think I am gonna lose my mind, I should be cleaning the house but Lord I hate that worse!
LOL!
Thanks for stopping by dear friend;
I've been up a long time and in a little bit I plan on laying down and taking myself an early nap today...

I would love to send you some sunshine and some of our heat for some of your rain. It is 99 degrees right now but feels like 105 and it isn't even summer yet!!!! Our normal for this time of year is around 90 I think. It may warm up a little more today before it starts to cool off. It is almost 2:30 PM here in south Texas right now.

Yes I am in Texas, in the south. Corpus Christi to be exact and it is another hot one today plus still dry with no rain. Living on the coast like this it is usually humid. Right now it is before 1:30 and 96 but feels like 103 but humidity is only 44 percent but not much breeze today.

Let me tell you, it was chilly and pouring down rain when I left to take my daughter across town to her dads (less than a 5 minute drive). She had on a jacket cause she said she was cold. By the time we got there she was sweating and by the time I got back to the house I was sweating in a t-shirt. The rain has stopped and it is muggy as heck outside here in St. Louis.

We had sunny weather on Saturday on the cape - I even got sunburnt (Deb's jealous) from just walking down Commercial street. I love that town. It's so quaint and bohemian and very Haight Ashbury all at the same time. I'm tired, I tell you. I drove the entire way home. But, it didn't take as long coming as going. But, it was cool home when we got here. And....there was SNOW IN NORTH JERSEY when we came through today. I couldn't believe it!!!

If you go to Facebook, I posted all the photos there. It should be easier for you to look at with dialup. I don't think I emailed them. I can't remember. Yeah - we had a lovely day yesterday (not that I ever left the house to experience it), but it's raining again today and tomorrow. But, today it's 80 while yesterday it was around 70-75. The two days before that were around 60. I loved it!

I'd like to see this town. I remember the Haight Ashbury days, myself. I have relatives who live in Napa, California, which is about 60 miles from San Francisco. I have been to San Francisco at least four times but I never did get to go to Haight Ashbury. Kathy.

It has been raining here in the Philippines for the second day. We do not have storm but was told by the Weather Bureau that there are 2 low pressure areas coming. Strangely, once in a while the sun shines but only for a few minutes. The weather is unpredictable everywhere else. This must have been caused by the climate change.

HI Jules; How are you?? I Know your country as a rule gets a lot of rain don't you?
I don't think I could adjust to that much rain all the time, it would just depress me to no end but I guess you have to adapt right?
I hope you have some good weather coming your way, and not so much rain all the time;

Its been a really cool wet spring so far. I just got my pool opened up its been so cool. Today was a perfect day, warm sunny and not to hot. My mom, grandson and I spent the day at the zoo. It was free day, plus my mom has a membership, she packed a lunch and away we went. At times it sort of got hot. I am so pooped right now I am seriously thinking about having a nap.

Our weather was low nineties today, and humid. It started storming after I got off work and came home. I wonder if we are sending the storms to you or if you are sending to us. Either way, Mr. Weather Man could cut it back to one stormy day per week.

LOL Hi Gerty: I don't know either I think between Missouri, Kansas and Iowa, we just keep spinning them around and around and they seem to linger on;
Then as you know by now we get the blasted heat, and more pop up storms..It's sad but funny when the weather man will say nothing but clear skies and hot weather, and then low and behold hours later they are issuing storm warnings and watches...LOL!!
This bouncy butt weather has kept my arthritis in major fits of pain for days and days...I just give up!!
I hope your AC is working good as the HEAT IS ON....Next week looks really really
bad with the HOT HOT HOT A$$ WEATHER. BLEH!! TAKE CARE, BE SAFE NOW!!

i live in the northeast,we're in the same boat.
i am so sick of this rain,i can't do any house repairs or cut the grass (which is exploding)either because the wet grass jams the blade.

Isn't that the God's truth!! I'm in NC and it's rained so much this year that I feel like we need to build an ark!! lol We're definitely not in a drought, that's for sure!! We're waaaaay above normal. It's been right nice for almost a week here now but we're expecting more rain starting tomorrow and is suppose to carry on till Sunday I believe. HI Cats: I keep forgetting to tell you that your new avatar is sooooo cute!!
Well after all that rain did you guys get that blasted heat too like we had all week?
Man that was MISERABLE!
Today now was beautiful out!! I got to open up the house for awhile then I got kinda "hot" and stuffy like so I had to shut it all up and turn the AC back on even now its 77 out really nice but I can't seem to breathe so I had to turn it down another notch or two...crazy I know?
I just hope this crazy weather doesn't go from too much rain for a lot of us, into a friggin drought the rest of the year you know? That would be bad!!
take care and

LOL, do I know how you feel! We had such a long winter and then it rained and rained and rained.......
The last two days have been all sunshine though, and where I live has been the hottest spot in Canada with more of the same for the rest of the week. So I'll gladly send you some of my sunny weather. My plants need a break from the unrelenting sun so their buds can grow and not get burned away!

HI Sparks: Great to see you.....{{hugs to you}} I hope things are going better for you..
OH that's right I forgot you lived in Canada COOL!!! I would love to visit there and witness all that beautiful back country you have...but I doubt that ever happens
for me, no money for travels, and crappy health...
Our winter seemed very long too this year, I guess it does every year but I swear
it really was long for us too;
I've had several plants just drown from so much rain, and or then they fried
from too hot of a sun after drowning...I give up!
Its so hard for me to do any sort of planting with my neck and back pains and then to see them just drown and then dry up really irks me!
I have to take out pitchers of water daily for some of them, no hose outlet
here I want to get some containers to catch the rain water which I should've
done FIRST..but I've not gotten around to that yet;
I hope your weather straightens out for you, and I hope ours does too
this coming week right before the 4th of July is predicting to be really really hot
that's not good either;
take care

Compared to the last two years I can honestly say that our weather has been lovely so far. It has warmed up and the sun keeps making an appearance even when the weather says it is going to be rubbish so I am really chuft because I have been able to sit in the garden this year. I hope that it carries on this way now for the summer.

We really have had a lot of storms here, too.
It really got bad during church yesterday morning. I'm just glad that it got better before church was out, though, and I made it home all right. It rained here a little bit this afternoon. Other than that, it has been very hot, up in the 90s.
I know you didn't want to hear that, Jan, but that's the way it's been. We're supposed to have drill team practice in the morning out at the EASI barn so I hope it doesn't rain then. We NEED to practice! Kathy.

Yes, everything went very well at the EASI barn. We started out with four people on the drill team but two had to drop out. Now, it's just the other girl and myself. We're still a little confused but I think it's all going to work out. The girl who has been instructing us drew us a diagram and I think that's going to help out a lot. Also, we're each going to get a copy of the cd that has the music we're going to do the drill to. I can't think of the name of the song but it's by Martina McBride. It's the one that starts off with the line, "You can spend your whole life building something from nothing and tomorrow it may be blown away. Build it, anyway." Those are not the exact words but it's something like that. It's a beautiful song. Kathy.
