Why Are People So Negative About Making A Living Online?  

You make a very good point, I add to my income through Mylot but it is defniately not my first source on any income. It is through my own online business that I make enough money to make a living, that required my own hard graft to create the items for sale and the website itself. You cannot expect to make money online without at least some effort.

I think there are a lot of killjoy types in this world (a person who spoils the pleasure of others), and they don't like the idea of someone actually succeeding in something that they're not capable of. Probably a lot of jealousy in them. I for one know nothing about making a living online, but for those who can, I say more power to them. Especially these days.

GTPs, PTCs and mylot are really only good for that little bit of extra pocket money. If they are expecting to make a living off these types of sites, it will be a big task to get many refferrals.

I know I could make more money through the net, but I am happy with just the pocket money.

There are opportunities out there, it is just a matter of find legit ones.

i think lots of people are jubious to sign up to lots of different sites that claim to pay you when they might not actually pay you. i didn't know if mylot really paid at first so i started a discussion on it and got LOTS of responses lol. although i can't actually claim my money yet, i haven't sorted out my paypal.

what are your examples of the other things you can do that you can make a living from?

I think maybe because it seems so easy or just because it's so unusual. But....I don't think the availability of online jobs are going to be around forever. It seems like a lot of people are jumping on board. For now, it's something nice to have around. I've had a couple websites through the years that I've made actual money from, and I liked it. Even if the online sites don't pay you a million dollars, it's still money. I don't think it should be put down as much as it is.

You can make money online, but you have to put time and effort into it. Some people think they can do nothing and make money whether it be a lot of money or just a few pennies. It is because they aren't willing to work at it. It is like trying to get something for nothing. Life doesn't work tat way, and neither does trying to make money. Sure ptc sites are easy, but in order to make payout, you have to work at it and keep clicking. Sure ptc sites don't pay all that much, but when you put them altogether, then there is money there, as it all adds up in the end. I enjoy doing ptc sites even though they pay low. It is easy work, but it can be time consuming depending on how many you do. If you do a lot of them, then it takes longer than if you just do 2 or 3. I will just contimue to do the ptc sites and see what pays and what doesn't. Good luck to you and happy mylotting.

I think it's because to make money online there is allot of stuff you need to know like how to set up a successful web site or blog. How to write exceptional content, how to get traffic. No matter if you have products or services, you need traffic. And the list goes on. Because it takes forever and a day to learn what you need to know in order to make half way decent money, this is why people say you can't make enough money on the web to live on. Because while you are taking the time to learn all this stuff, in the mean time you have to pay bills and eat and that money is going to come from where? So therefore the web is like having some great ideas that will make you money down the road which doesn't provide for your needs now (today).

And I can just hear you now saying but if your start today, you will be able to make that money down the road. And this may be true, but try telling that to people who don't have enough money to buy food or their utilities are going to be cut off. These people don't have the luxury of time to learn new skills. They need a decent web income today.

I think as i've said in other discussions in the the past similar to this is that it's basically because people that go online don't think of it as they would a job, and thus. Don't take it as seriously or work as hard at it when in fact. I think it's probably easier to get started earning money online then it is offline. It's also because people seem to be fixiated on the thought that PTC's/PTR's and GPT's are the only thing available to them online. People have a tendency to limit themselves or simply just don't have enough time to learn that there are way better things out there online for them.

Well, as you say they're always giving goofy examples. You can't expect to make money on a job without working, why would you expect to be handed a huge paycheck for sitting there clicking links all day? You have to do some actual work. I make a good part time income just writing. If I was physically able to write all day, I'd make a full time income. But it takes work -- it takes ideas, research and the discipline to sit here and write.

Well I dont think its the attitude problem here that people say such words.Indeed it is impossible to earn online unless you are willing to invvest which people dont want to risk because of such a large number of fake sites.
