Restauarants and fast food chains VS Home cooked meal |
|
Who among you eats often in a restaurant or fast food chain?? I have noticed that most people choose to eat in restaurants or buy food from fast food chains than to cook food for themselves..I mean ofcourse I know, most of the times I'm one of them...in the restaurants and fast food chains, you can choose alot of food and almost everyhting seems to be really delicious..you don't have to cook and you even save time...no messy kitchen and no buying all the ingredients,it's all prepared and ready to eat...I could almost imagine myself now eating anything I want in my fav resto..
Meanwhile, there are still people who choose to cook food for their meal even if it takes alot of work and time..some people think that it's not safe to eat in restos or fast foods...some people think it's dirty and you don't know how they cooked it...in some cases this infact is true...some restos doesn't have proper cleanliness or sanitation in their kitchen...their food might be delicious but you don't know how it's amde and what's really in there..
So people,which side are you?

agv0419 (2333) | 7 months ago | I'm still prefer to eat homecook meals because it is more nutritious and less calorie. If you don't have time to prepare food at home I think you should choose a restaurant that serve healthy food. Fastfoods as it names implies it is prepare fast, the fastest way to prepare food is frying so fastfoods is high in fat and in calories. Which it is not good in the heart and to our diet.

2. med889 (2804) | 7 months ago | I stay outside most of the time and I am used to have the fast food or food in the restaurants which are my favorite. I prefer the foods in restaurants more than the food at home sometimes but if i have to choose from both then I will go with the food at home which cannot be compared to other food. I trust my mom's cooking and she is a really great woman in the kitchen, she is the one to explore foods in all styles and to offer you, so the food at home is the best to me.

3. rsa101 (7434) | 7 months ago | Well it is not as healthy as home cooked foods that are cooked in fastfoods. That is one thing I am sure of. Take for example the fried chicken you can see that they are just dipped in oil that you don't know what kind of oil they use to cook it with. They might be convenient for us to eat but are you sure that they are that healthy anymore with the kind of cooking they use. They may be tastier but they are just so much msg in it or salt which can harm our body than help us.
When I was still single I used to eat a lot from these and I guess it bounced back to me years after and my health is not as good as it used to be. You should try eating home cooked they are much more healthier adn you are pretty much in control of your self what to eat and not to eat.

7. Archie0 (3139) | 7 months ago | Well i think i will always go on the home made food side, because it is more freshly prepared if compred to outside food.Plus we know what ingredients has harmfull as well as which has beneficial qualities. So we can take a better look and count at our calorie intake, even if home made food sometimes aint that tasty as outside but it is quality far more best than outside food.

8. gcorp09 (548) | 7 months ago | Well, I will say that it's certainly a lot better to eat home-cooked food than food from outside. It's healthier (as you can control the oil, cooking method, type of ingredients used etc) in a way, and more likely "cleaner" too. I mean, you do not know how the restaurant/fast food chain outlet staff handle the food (with their own dirty hands, or glove) and so on. In addition, you can also control the freshness of your food. You don't know if the restaurants will serve you with leftover food...
However, with both parents working nowadays, and returning home quite late, I do understand that sometimes, cooking is the last thing on your mind. Besides cooking, there's also the clearing up of the mess after cooking, as well as the washing of the dishes. Thus, restaurants and fast food restaurants becomes an attractive option for working couples...
For me, we will try to cook, or eat at my in-laws place if possible for dinner. However, we do go outside to eat occasionally if there's no dinner, or we are too tired to cook.

9. oraclemv (2498) | 7 months ago | I cook at home because my husband is in the pest elimination service and most of those places you mentioned are infested with rodents and bugs. Only a brand new place will be clean. I prepare most of the food 2 days in advance, I prepare salad and chicken so that way it is easy to access and already. We eat very healthy so it's also better for us to eat at home, that way we can weigh our portions and know exactly what is inside. Sometimes we will get fast food if we are out and hungry but that does not occur often. Plus we save a lot of money this way, I know a lot of people that are in debt because of restaurant dining.

10. chikadee21ph (287) | 7 months ago | I am a combination of both! Regularly, I cook at home for our regular meals. I love preparing food for my family. For my husband and son for that matter. In that way, I am sure that I am giving them the proper nutritients and balance meal.
Now during special occasions or in cases where we have something to celebrate, we eat at restaurants to treat ourselves.
