Lordy me, Have Mercy!!! Yep My 82 Year old Father Out Shot both My Brother, and Myself yesterday when we were out Target Practicing again! In Fact with his big old Shotgun He knocked the Target Board down TWICE...and Twice is all he shot!! LOL!! It was so funny to see, I wish I had a camcorder, My brother Dearest was just SHOCKED... I just laughed because of my Dad's face was priceless!!! He had that look of like, "Take that" you know?? God it was so hot outside too and with all the recent rain we have had just to get out to the pasture was a bit tricky...water was just standing everywhere it was so wet it just has to place to go, so with the water all around us on the ground, the Sun finally beating down on our heads, IT WAS HOT!!! And I hot really really HOT!! It doesn't take much Sun to just "get to me" these days, all the medication I am on, I know better but it was fun to be able to do this again; Once I got home, showered, and ate a bite for supper , my body was done for I was in bed before 6:30 p.m. I had to miss my favorite show, well I recorded, I would never miss my favorite show intentionally...LOL! But yeah my 82 yr. old Father Kicked our as$$$es yesterday..LOL! it was really something to see!! I am loving this target shooting more and more, Brother Dearest brought all sorts of different guns/yesterday...Good Grief! I didn't do too bad, but I completely missed the whole target sheet when I was using the one shotgun, I SUCKED !! They sent me over to the board to remove the sheet and replace it, I yelled back to them, NO NEED...I MISSED IT COMPLETELY!!! LOL! I did much better using that same 22 he had again as the last time he was here; It's a cool gun!! So do you target practice? anybody in your family better at it than someone else??

GO DADDY (.com)!!!! LOL! Good for him. He sounds like he's very young at heart. Jan, I'm so glad you got the chance to get out and have some fun. Sometimes, the consequences are worth it just knowing the fun you'll have. It's so important for building memories like that with family and friends. It's so important to do because it's like rebooting our brains, you know? We all need a breather. Yay!!! I've always wanted to go paint balling. That sounds like it would be so much fun. A lot safer than real bullets! LOL! Purrs, Catwoman=^..^= & Mija

Hey, Jan! Thanks for giving me a best response award! Yay! Your dad sounds like a real character and even though he's up in years he sounds like he can handle himself very well. You take care, sweetie! Purrs, Catwoman=^..^= & Mija

Just goes to show you. A person can do anything at almost any age. Never underestimate the elderly. You can be surprised! GO DAD! Not into target practice myself. My mother is a better shot than either of my uncles. But it has been ages since any of them tried!

HI ersmommy: That's right! He keeps in good practice every spring/summer he's already shot I don't know how many blasted snakes this year around our lake and our smaller ponds, dang things are everywhere this year, we've had so much rain too; He's also had to shoot a turtle that my aunt caught a great big one! and those pesky muskrats that do so much damage to the pond and lake dams... so he gets lot of practice..(G)! I hadn't done this myself since my early 20's...until just recently I did pretty fair this time but man it was so hot out...I told another friend on here when I missed the target completely I blamed the sun and the sweat in my eyes..LOL! Pretty pathetic I know...

That's really great!! I'm glad your brother is doing something with your dad and that the three of you are actually having a good time together. I used to love going into the dessert and shooting with my son. There's nowhere around here that allows rifles, and I've never shot a pistol, so I don't get to do that any more.
