Men wearing make-up...wrong? or right? what are you views?

Men used to wear make-up all the time, wasn't a bad thing then. Not to say just because it's been done before, makes it right to do now, but men wearing make-up to me is a trend, and as we know, trends come and go. And just like leggings, and bell bottoms, men wearing make-up seems to be back in these days. What's the harm in it. At least men are taking the time to pay attention to their face, and beauty, and hygiene. I think it's okay as long as it's not out of control. And being moderate depending on your specific style is also necessary. For example if you are more rocker like Adam Lambert, go all out, it's okay, it fits the style. But more chic and classy like David Beckam, moderate, minimize, in some cases, less really is more.

Yes I think I saw something on tv about the range of men's make-up that has come out. Manscara, and Guyliner. There are quite a lot of men using make-up now. I think men look better without it personally, but it should be their choice.

I love to see men in make up. it's very sexy.

but that's eyeliner, mascara, maybe lipstick or lipgloss, maybe not, depending on the colour, and on the man.

I don't like when men go for natural looking make up. it just looks wierd.



I mean the thing is, it's a very recent development that make up was thought of as only for women.

if you look at the animal kingdom it's almost invariably the male that is the colourful, decorated one, while the female is plainer and unadorned. and human beings used to follow that rule.

over time women started decorating themselves too, and then it became seen as a female thing, but only very recently.

the fact is, men will look better if they use make up to accentuate their best features, just as women will.

I find men in eyeliner, mascara and nail varnish EXTREMELY attractive, and much sexier than an undecorated man. I think if a man wears make up openly it shows he is confident enough to express himself, even if it is in ways that other people might not for fear of how they are percieved.

so a man in make up is sexy indeed.

apart from when they wear make up in a way that is designed to look like they're not wearing it, in which case it seems wierd.
