 What would you regard as freedom? Is it to be able to do what you want? What if another person/neighbour has more freedom, to the degree that it violates your comfort or security? I am thinking of criminals and the things they get away with now. Who is the most free, the abuser of freedom or the victim of that freedom?
The wheel turns and the abuser gets what he deserves sometime in future.
What also intrigues me is the freedom that freedom fighters fight for. Sometimes the outcome is worse than they hoped for, much worse.
This is one phenomenon that seems to elude the average person. You may live in a 'free' country, but live in a fortified house.
You may have freedom of speech, but surely still would still get into trouble for saying the wrong thing to someone else.
In free countries you may also be very restricted in what you may do on your own property, like making a noise at the wrong time, etc.
I doubt whether true freedom exists, whatever it is perceived to be.

I think that a person should be able to do anything, as long as what he does does not hurt his surounding. If this rule is violated, then this person rules out other's freedom, and thus his freedom is wrongly given.
