I'm beat...

Stick a fork in me and call me dinner because I'm done! I spent most of the day helping a friend reclaim her veggie patch. She'd gotten a late start this year and the weeds were growing like crazy not only in the nice, black soil, but in the gravel leading up to it. I had to clear all that up just to get to the veggie patch. But it looks great now, even without the veggies in it. She'll have to plant the tomatoes and lettuce plants herself tomorrow, because, like I said, I'm done. I'll need all of tomorrow to recouperate.

Hi BarBaraPrz, I can see that you're very exhausted! Only those who love gardening will stress out themself out there. Your hardwork will be paid off when you see your friend's dark soil get furnished with small green plants. I'm sure you'll be happy then as it's purely your hardwork!

You please check on that, as your hardwork on jeopardise. I believe you don't want to see that!

Yesterday we drove 2 hours in the rain to Niagara Falls to see my husband's first cousin once removed (cousin's daughter) perform the starring role of Sharpay in High School Musical 2 (Gabriella was not the starring role in this edition). Then we went out for dinner with her family, then we walked down to see the falls, and then made the hard climb back up the hill to where our car was parked. It started raining again when we headed home. I woke up pretty beat and sore this morning. I have no energy. Don't want to be on the computer, don't want to write, don't want to do anything. I hope I'll have more energy tomorrow.

Did you soak up any solar energy today?
Hope you're feeling better soon.

In the efforts to arrange a surprise party for my youngest daughter, I hung out at soccer practice for a bit last night to talk to some parents. It was late day but the sun was shining. I don't know whether that counts or not. I have no choice but to have energy today. I've got too much to do.

It's always nice to help others and weeds do tend to grow much faster than the plants we want.
I can't work in the yard too long before I am done, as you put it. But I go back in the house and cool off, gain some strength back and then I am out there again or if I am too well done I just come in and blog about what I would like to have done. :)
I get days where I need the next day to recoup but usually for me that's after a day of fishing. It's a lot of fun but takes a lot out of me.

LOL there's one I haven't heard in a long time 'stick a fork in me'... am sure your exhausted but isn't it so very satisfying to see how nice it looks after all your hard work. Am sure those veggies are much happier too :)

Well, they're not in the ground yet... but yes, it is satisfying to see it.
