What type of activities do you do with your children indoors? I was thinking about this because I will have a child that his parents don't like him going out. Actually, they don't want him running around. I think they are afraid he will have fun. LOL Honestly, he has asthma so I need to find something fun he can sit around and do.

There are a plethora of activities online at Family Fun (no space and add the .com) to keep children of various ages entertained for hours on end. Since he has asthma you will want to stay away from activities that use things like paint with strong fumes.

I haven't got the whole story yet, so I don't know what sets him off. I hope we can still DO stuff. I use to rough house with him every time I saw him. My brother would just shake his head. Hopefully, it isn't too bad.

Time I have with grandchildren we color pictures, read books, last year painted tee-shirts and birdhouses (made a mess but they had soooo much fun), last time they were with me for the weekend (3 & 6) we took turns picking videos to watch - they of course had their favorites but Grandma pulled out a bunch they had never seen and ended up wanting to watch them a second and third time when it was their turn to pick. I also invested in some polymer clay and let them make their own art projects. I also work along with them so they see something I make and want to do the same but they also come up with their own ideas. We had pigs, turtles, snowmen, pumpkin people, Andrew did a plate with a fried egg on it (6 year old and the plate was the size of a half dollar - it was darling and all his own idea and making).

Tee shirts and bird houses sound like a lot of fun. I love clay. I found some from Rose Art that doesn't dry out. I don't even know where I bought it now. I sure would like to find some more of it. The movies I think would be a great idea. Even though there is an age difference between the kids I think each would get a kick out of seeing the other one's choices. Sometimes older kids want to be younger and younger kids want to be older. Half of childhood is wanting to be something else. LOL I guess most of adulthood is like that too.
