Being investigated? Don't they have enough problems right now?

The Pennsylvania labor department is investigating whether the hit TLC show Jon and Kate Plus 8 is complying with the state's child labor laws. Their marriage is a mess, Kate being photographed spanking one of the girls...when is enough enough, shut off the cameras and call it quits? http://www.people.com/people/article/0,,20281956,00.html?xid=rss-fullcontentcnn

I feel very sorry for the children here too. I'm glad they are being investigated too. Kate's family members are not happy with the show and even they are worried about the long term effect on the children. I didn't watch the show because I just wasn't interested. I did however, see a segment of Jon and Kate is it too late and the things that her family was saying weren't good. I'm glad they are being investigated and I hope the show is pulled off the air. The children should be the first priority. Any good parent should know that first.

With so many kids, I think one is motivated to do what is needed to keep the show and its money going good. I heard a little trickle of something which implied the show was ending, but I don't follow them myself.

Now that show is what people call being in a pickle..So many things have gone down hill this year for the show and so much stress and issues are happening and it can't all be good for the children going through it also. I am all for protecting the children in this. I think it is time to call it quits before the show is canceled on a more sour note then it is right now.

The kids are definitely the victims here. As for the parents, they make $75,000 per episode and get so many perks and special celebrity treatments in everything they do. And the downside to being a celebrity is that you have paparazzi following you around everywhere and everything you do is under a microscope. The parents complain that they just want to live a normal life... yet they still want their celebrity treatment and special perks! I do feel bad for the kids though because they really didn't have a say in all of this!

If people didn't encourage this type of bad behavior by tuning in every week to the show, parents wouldn't be in a position to exploit their children for money. Even still, parents shouldn't do it, no matter what the financial reward. I was flipping around the news tonight and landed on HLN. This guy, presenting himself as a legitimate news reporter, stated, "I'm all for Jon and Kate coming back for another season." I wanted to shake some sense into this guy lol I don't understand the obsession with shows like these. I don't understand what type of parent would exploit their family for money. I don't understand a lot of things, I guess. Maybe I'm the one who's wrong by saying this stuff shouldn't be happening.
