 Does anyone remember the site boomertowne? I loved that site and was so sad when it went under. Is there any sites out there now that are even similar to that one? I looked forward to using that site. I just havent been able to find another one even remotely close to as cool as that one was.

1.  rdadey (331) | 6 months ago |  Oh yes, I remember it quite well. Needless to say it was one excellent site at it's height of glory. I started out when they only offered items for rewards and snagged a few. When they started using GC's for rewards that's when membership exploded and brought about its demise.
I collected several hundred dollars in Visa GC's but my biggest reward was winning $1000 for a scavenger hunt. I did get the cheque and it cleared ok and the money came in real handy at the time. When the site shut down myself, wife and daughter were owed about $1200 or so. I don't complain after all I did get out of the site but it would have been nice to have gotten that money too.
I miss Boomertowne.

| rdadey (331) | 6 months ago | I think the owner was a little naive about what he was doing and he did have good intentions. He was just giving away money too fast and he lost control.
I wish I could say that there was another site like it but I know not of it if there is. The only one I have seen that's a bit similar is Mypage5, you can make money in many ways but you will never make what you did on Boomertowne in short time. | |

| 2. gdesjardin (302) | 6 months ago |  I used to be on Boomertowne and I really enjoyed the site. I received several Visa GC's and was happy to get them and I also got a few Target GC's as well. I was luck I didn't have much money in my account when they went under. I do miss it and I haven't found anything quite like that site any where else.

5.  danishcanadian (20483) | 4 months ago |  I remember Boomertowne, and I had a really great time on there. I got $100 from them before they went under, and they went under owing me another $250. Dang! I thought they were a lot of fun, and there are things I used to do on there that I still miss. I miss a lot of the games, and stuff that I used to play on there.
