Working on your kids b-day (how to celebrate)

happy birthday to your little one! thats rough that you have to work but like you said, it's life its probably rougher on you than it is her she is really too young to understand or care as long as you do her birthday at some point I would either do a small birthday thing after work (kids are fine with cake and ice cream as long as they get presents) or I would wait until my next day off and then do something special

Well I know how you feel. For my sons birthday this past year I had to work. But he is two so the way I see it they won't remember much anyway. She is only turning six. I wouldn't make a big deal out of it tomorrow. Just wait untill the weekend and do something special. Thats what I did. That way you have all day with her and won't feel guilty.
