hairy pits and legs  

I think your last sentence is a trick question, right? (ha,ha). Well, I come from the Western world where shaving a wearing deoderant are considered important. Right now I need to shave and I feel "dirty". It is always refreshing to me when my legs and pits are smooth and clean. I remember my mom saying to me when I told her I wanted to shave that "once you start, you can never stop doing it." The stubbles get so prickly that it is very irritating, like touching rose thorns. I guess other people have their traditions or reasons for not shaving but I like the smooth, clean feeling I have when they are nice and clean shaven.

I know..I know...my mom's folks are German...but...man....I can't do it. LOL! I have a friend that doesn't shave her pits, ever. She hasn't in years but she doesn't wear sleeveless shirts either. LOL!

I don't shave my legs often enough. But my other parts I keep trimmed to the tee. I find it is sweaty if I don't and I don't like it. My daughter shaves all the time it drives me mad. She shaved my legs for me one day and I could do nothing but laugh. It was bothering her that much.

I lived in Germany for a couple of years, and the first time I witnessed the hairy look I was shocked, but then I grew envious, because shaving is such a chore. I think they have it made in the hygiene department. The U.S. is too strict with hair under the pits, or anywhere. I'm not too sure what a Brazilian shave is, (I have an idea), but I doubt the German women have this done, do you? We could talk about German women with hairy pits and legs who are going to participate in the space program, lol!

I don't feel human if I go more than 5 days without a shave, and I can't wear shorts if I've gone more than 3 days. I have dark hair and fair skin, so I should shave everyday so it doesn't show, but it takes so much time and effort so I only do it once or twice a week.

I could not imagine not shaving and not wearing deodarent......eeek......the thought of it...yuck. BUT-to each his own.

Space program....Lol. I dont shave regularly but do get annoyed when I see hair. I wear glasses so shaving in the shower especially since I love showering in hot water is not easy. I even tried Nair and it still leaves hair noticable. I have a few German friends and at first they didnt shave. Only one shaves now because she sees a difference in men reaction in America. I dont believe in women being hairy like a man but I'm not going to discriminate against it either. I just wonder why its done that way in German. All I get from them is its culture, in their German accent which i love.

...the space program, growing tomatoes. vacation, anything but hairy pits!!! UGH!! Well, do you remember when Madonna had them? Everyone has their own culture...I suppose as long as you're clean, that's the main thing! I'm outta here!!

I've heard this many times before about women shaving being a Western thing. But then I watch the Ms. Universe Pagent and all these women are clean shaven. They are from all corners of the globe and so are the judges. Now I know its a personal preference thing, but I think that says something.
