To save a mother's life

I am not as against abortion as you are, my friend, and I think there are reasons to have it done. One of them is the one you just mentioned. It was not only the lady´s life, but there is a born baby that needs a mother. Of course, noone wants to have to take that decision, but sometimes, hard as it is, it´s the best one.

It depends on whether that scar rupturing might have been because of a ectopic pregnancy. That would have meant that unless they removed the fallopian tube, she would have bled to death. If however, it was just a little bleeding, they could have just fixed it and delivered the baby early. I hope it was the former, but something I think that the abortionists or those who are in favor of abortions, use every excuse.
Do you have more detail in whether this was an ectopic pregnancy? I have a daughter of a friend of mine who has to have a c-section all the time, because her bones are too thick and she has at least four children.

Although I have strong feelings on abortion, there are circumstances where it's ok, and this would be one of those.

Well, in case of such life-threatening situations; I think there should not be any second thoughts about an abortion; if that is the final option .

on circumstances like this of course if they can save two lives then it is much better. it will be very hurting for the mother if she will only be saved but not her baby. but of course there are still a lot of time to make another one. i have a friend who got a lot of miscarriages. and it affects her physically. but after a lot of try now they have a three year old cute son. i have four kids and luckily we are all safe during those months of pregnancy and the time when i was about to give birth. pregnancy is a very delicate thing.

I think mothers should have an option to get an abortion, there are many reasons to have one, and this is one of them. I had a rotation in paediatrics and one of the kids i've been working with was very sick, he was born with it and nothing doctors did helped. all that resulted from the birth of this child was suffering of a child and the whole family. Poor kid couldn't adsorb nutrients from food and was very weak. he only lived on intravenous injections, but it just wasn't enough. a 1.5 year old kid looked like he was 2 month.
my great grand mother died giving birth to my grand father leaving 3 kids without a mother. my mom almost died when she had a miscarriage during her second pregnancy. she almost died giving birth to me because she got pregnant with me not long after the miscarriage.
