That's my opinion. Sorry you can't deal with it. If he hadn't been a celebrity and rich enough to buy people off his butt would have been sitting in prison. O J Simpson was never found guilty either. But I think everyone KNOWS he murdered two people. Sometimes the court system screws up. I think you all been drinking that Jesus juice he use to give to the kids.

Nope. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame TWICE!! I think there will be schools of music named after him. Performers are influenced by him, whether they understand it or not. From lyrics, moves to cinematography... artists are influenced by the amazing progress he is responsible for. No one will ever changed the arts like he did.

Probably not America, but I believe he will have a holiday somewhere, and 200 years from now, there will still be parades.

I don't believe that will happen. Along with the other famous folks already mentioned who don't have a national holiday, Elvis Presley doesn't have one and he was the King of Rock N Roll.

revellanotvanella . . who is making this a national holiday???? I havent seen anyting about this one yet???? If it is true .. whomever is behind it needs to get something real to do .. . sure he was a great artist . . and that is all I am going to say about him . .but since when do Great Artists deserve a national holiday???
