Do you use public transportation? |
|
There are many public transportation in my country.Such as city bus, train,Mini Bus etc.I think there is something like and dislike when we use public bus. Many people can't get sit and they have to stand.Sometimes, there is old people or mother who carry their kid and they have to stand. If I see it,I will give them my seat.Yesterday,I can't understand how could they let a mother who carry her child to stand but actually beside her,a couple of young people sit comfortable. What do you think?

1. believerachel (613) | 6 months ago | I think it's rude to have to make a mother stand while holding her child. Even if she didn't have a child, I would have still offered my seat to her. I don't like taking the city bus where I live because I have in the past and there have been some really creepy people. One time this woman randomly asked me if I had lotion and I told her no. She got angry with me and started ranting about how every woman should carry lotion around with them. She should have been reminding herself. But yeah, I just haven't had great experiences involving public transportation, but as long as I'm with a friend or two, I'm fine with it.

Often also there aren't any sitting places. In my city we have Bus and train. That's all... and Bus come very rarely... It's sad, but what we can do?:) Have a great day! Happy lotting!

5. voldrox (1536) | 6 months ago | hi yeah public transport can get a bit crowdy, though i don't have problems adjusting to that... to mostly travel on public transport, after having my license i will have the pleasure of having my own vehicle... but i think public transport helps lower down pollution.... elder people need to be given preference and the younger ones should give them seats.

Zhizho (530) | 6 months ago | Thank for your share.Yes,use public transportation have good and bad sides. But,I think give elder people and childrens to sit is god thing and every one can do it.I concerned about people attitude who does not care about the elder and children.

6. maikarumike (439) | 6 months ago | I always use public transport to go anywhere.Partly my parents are busy and I have no other alternative for me to move around to go somewhere. And so i tried to use public transport and hence it becomes very important and crucial to me.Usually in my area there are not many people who use public transport to go around because they own their own car.Just imagining the bus service is no longer available i would die.

7. Shames (1427) | 6 months ago | Well in India also public transport is used a lot. There are some places here where people are known for their illiteracy and uncivilized behavior. However where I live people are very well mannered and hey give seat to women if they are standing. In fact the front couple of rows are specially reserved for female and handicapped people. And the best part is that people do follow these rules.

Zhizho (530) | 6 months ago | Thanks for your respond.I think, every one has know that use public bus will face crowded and will be stand if they don't get seat. But,I believe that they have heart to do goodness for people like old people and children. But in fact, there are many people who don't care about it.

8. strawberrychocodahi (2471) | 6 months ago | I feel the same way when I see older people, women with child standing and men are sitted comfortably. In this country where I am now, I have observed it a lot of times, unlike in my own country, I still see men offer their seat with older people and women with kids are given a priority to be seated first.
It is a matter of courtesy and sad to say, this country is last on the list. Sorry guys, this is what I observe as a foreigner living in your land. Most men aren't gentlemen. And they would push you to get in the bus without discipline of waiting for their turn to get seated or so.
Probably it will never be the same with my own country because this is what they are and to what their society have brought them. You will never observe something different if you haven't been to another country, that is what all I can say. Anyway not much transportation to where I stay. They don't have buses that runs 24/7 like I used to get in my own country. They don't have jeeps and tricycles here. They have rickshaws and trains, although we have trains in our country too.

agv0419 (2364) | 6 months ago | Here in the Philippines you can encountered that too males who are not willing to give their sits to others who are old or to womens. Which is rude sometimes, in our culture we let women and elderly to sit than do let them stand to show respect to them. I don't have a car so I don't have a choice I need to commute to public transportations. We have many of them here like tricycle, jeep, train and bus.

10. khayshenz (1093) | 6 months ago | I don't use public transportation here in California - however, if it were more reliable, convenient and comes around more often, I wouldn't mind using it. The bus comes around every TWO HOURS. That's a long time! There is also the issue with "creepy" people using public transportation - not cool.
However, when I was in college up North, I used the university-run public transportation. It was really cheap, and really clean because all the students use it. It was also convenient - they have enough buses to come around every 15 minutes.
I know NYC, SF, and Boston have a rail system - I wish LA's rail system was as efficient as those cities. HMPH!

lodyllesovo (228) | 6 months ago | Here in Cebu, Philippines, public transportation is not a problem at all. Actually, it is the most common vehicle here that everyone uses because it is very cheap. The usual people who normally uses the cab (aka taxi) here are those that are earning above average like managers, call center agents, or those who needs to go to a drive by motel to make LOVE.
