Which buffet is worth to pay for?

In Bangalore, a major city in South of India, my boss took me to a 4 star hotel for a buffet along with my colleague. Since I do not go outing for buffet to a costly hotel, I was very much excited. Since I am a big fan of non-vegetarian especially chicken, I was thinking that there will be lot of different chicken dishes to try it out. My boss and colleague are pure vegetarians.

In India, buffets are served in the order -- first Soups, then vegetable fare like pulav rice, basmatic rice, dal, and other routine vegetarian curries with some special curries and then last but not the least for non vegetarian buffs, chicken, mutton and fish. I did not have soup but I gorged on non veg stuff until I had enough. Then I finished the buffet by having gulabh jamun and Ice cream. With this combination, I would think 300 rupees is very much worth.

I like buffets as well. Although here we don't have very many all you can eat buffets. It's really a choice of Chinese or Golden Corale. Where did you go for a fushion buffett

I would have to say a chinese buffet, of all the buffet's I've been to... I always feel like I got my money's worth from a chinese buffet. The food is always good, and it always has a good variety.

The best buffet was old town buffet. They closed it and changed it Yu's old town buffet. It is american food and chinesse food crab legs included alot of goods chicken salmon shrimp general tso, pineapple chicken dessert tray ice cream.. ect..

My favorite buffet place is the Golden Correl. They have steck and chicken and shrimp and dessert bar salad bar you name it its there. and only 10 dollar a person.

I miss the Buffet Meal of Cebu Plaza Hotel since they changed to Marco Polo Hotel now. I could just remember how lovely their setting is and the food was indeed SUPERB. In Cebu, for people who loves Buffet meals, Joven's Grill is the most popular Buffet Meal restaurant since it is also affordable for all types of people to dine in.

Hello Ivy. I am a buffet fan too. I enjoy branches almost every Sunday at nice hotels in the City, since I don't cook at home. The inhouse restaurant waiters and waitresses know me well now. Ha ha! Yup, I enjoy the whole variety of dessert items every time.

Here we have Golden Coral, Ponderosa, Old Country Buffet & New China Buffet. Though there are many little Chinese buffets around though many need to advertise.

We tend to like Old Country Buffet the best. Just because it' has a bit of everything especially with having kids & hubby loves to load up on steak night!

Golden Coral, we don't care for the folks that patron there & you can't get your own drink either. And anything that's tasty there's a wait for*sigh*

New China - they remodeled the one nearby and then they jacked up their prices $3 a person but then took our favorites off of their selections and replaced it with things like green beans & garlic<-- I can make that! Why pay all that money for stuff I know how to make?!?!?

Ponderosa - Is some distance away, you can't get your own drinks, and there isn't alot of selection & if you want any kind of "beef" you have to order it extra & pay a nice chunk extra too. (That's why we like OCB, you can have as much of everything including steak for one flat price)

I think buffets with quality, homemade-ish food is worth it.
There's one in my town owned by a chinese family, and they cook all their own fusion-style cuisine and serve it in a buffet. It's awesome. xD

I live in florida i love golden corral and barn hills. cicis pizza is also really good

Nowadays I find that buffets are a costly affair.Maybe buffets will be really worth it for the younger lot who have a good appetite.Before I too used to love going for buffets and trying out all the new varieties.After a long gap recently I had to give a treat and my nephew wanted us to take him to a star hotel for a buffet lunch.We were eight elders and one teenager.None of the elders ever ate anything.It was a total waste of money.Its fabulous when you have the urge to try out new stuff.Not as we age.We prefer to stick to our usual diets.
