Girl gets suspended for proving her classroom was out of control!!

Well I don't wanna plan the teacher or the students. I'm not sure about the class. Is it in a gang related neighborhood? Why were there so many off task behavior? What did the teacher do? (Unfortunately I couldn't see the video on that news site). What did the administrator do?

Of course the kid shouldn't get in trouble and I'm glad they removed the suspension. That was just silly. The teacher and students need to me on suspension.

That is really really wrong. All that girl did was the right thing in showing that the classroom was completely unsuitable for any kind of learning. What school allows things like that to go on. I mean really.. the girl should be commended for stepping forward and trying to put a stop to this nonsense. I think the other parents need to step up and say something. What parent wants there kid around stuff like that? Kudos to the girl for standing up, and hopefully her parents will proceed with trying to get things changed.

Omg I can't believe that school first of all is a learning enviroment and suppost to be a drug free zone. Smoking in the classroom is rediculious! I would of went to the principals office and showed him the clip and demanded him 2 do something and move me to another classroom. Outragious!!

It's appalling to see this sort of thing. I applaud the young lady for her actions. Should they fire the teacher and hire a security guard? I'm not sure that's the right course of action. The fact that the school took no action at all when there were complaints put through proper channels and then suspended our heroine for doing what is right suggests the whole administration needs to be overhauled. The teacher probably should be in a different line of work but so should the rest of the people who did not address the complaints in the first place. Security guards in classrooms would not be necessary if proper disciplinary measures were taken before it went this far. I think the firings should start at the top.

This is another example of how authorities all over the world reacts in a ham handed manner to anybody who dare to challenge the staus quo or the working of the system . The girl stood up for what is wrong and inspite her repeated complaints the authorities turned a deaf ear to her protestations . Maybe the manner she opted to showcase the wrongdoings of the institution was a bit impulsive,but in no way should she be suspended for her well intended actions . Well such unfair practices occurs all over the world when authorities try to sweep everything under the carpet and hang anyone who dares to stirr the hornest nest

The teacher sat at the back of the room and let Chaos unfold?! If that video was truly shot while a class was in session and a teacher was present in that room,that teacher has totally lost control of the class and Shouldn't be there teaching..I'm wondering What do that bunch do during their breaktime,if that's their behaviour during a class?! There's a time and a place for control by zero tolerance guidelines,but evidence of smoking,urine throwing,and other such behaviour should have been clamped down on,far less disciplining someone who made this recording as evidence...Now,if She had posted it on Youtube first...Who got to clean up the Urine? didn't they make any report?

I think the school board and the teachers were out of control. I can just hear the parents of the other students in that class.... Oh, my child wouldn't do something like that, he/she is a little angel.

I had a friend who had a successful Ford dealership and in front of his dealership was the sidewalk where kids would go up town after school and during the lunch hour. He caught a boy "red handed" who took his key and scraped it along two brand new automobiles that were close to the sidewalk. He called the police, took the boy inside his office and called the boy's parents. The parents exclaimed "our son wouldn't do such a thing it must have been someone else". When the police made the boy empty his pockets, there was the key as evidence. I don't know what is going to bring back disipline in our school system, it certainly isn't going to be parents such as those.

I think this is ludicrous! Police use video footage in court cases every dam day so why shouldn't this be taken into consideration in the same context? It baffles me to think that a teacher and a head of school have taken this decision and the girl's parents should approach the education board on this one! As for the unruly children, they should be suspended indefinately until this matter is resolved... un-bloody-believable!

this doesn't surprise me.they hate when you have a point and can prove it.
when i went to school,we topped out at 41 kids per class (the school was overfull)
and all it took was 2 kids on either side of the class starting up,and nothing was done that day.the teacher did nothing about it.

i complained several times about kids,and next thing i know i was "disruptive" and needed medication..because surely they couldn't be the problem.they doped everybody up here that dared complain.

Good for her. She needs to keep the wheel squeaking, (squeaky wheel gets the grease & all that) and her problem will get tended to. Sounds like a smart girl who took matters into her own...cell phone. I've been in rowdy classrooms and know how hard it is to get heard.
