The advantages and disadvantages of being a single

I think being single has its freedom because you will not get tied down by your partner. However, sometimes you get lonely and upset and wants to have a listening ear.

i like single life. but what other think? i want to knnow u like single or not?

the advantages of being single are quite much more than its disadvantages, first there is nothing like freedom, as a single person you can use your freedom to your own advantage and no one questions where you go and what you do but married life is something else as you need to be put under question when you stay outside for long, as a single person you have the right of choice but as a married person you have several obligations waiting for you

I have been single for a couple of years now, and I have to tell you that being single does not mean that you have a lot of free time. I have a very busy life and sometimes have a hard time trying to squeeze time in for friends. I do enjoy being single, I am not really the settle down type of girl. I do enjoy going out and seeign movies and playing pool, but to actually have a relationship kinda scares me. I would prefer to just casually date when I can find the time.

Yeah your quite right! I'm not single but i agree with the thought, "it's nice being single".=)

the advantage of being single for me I think it gives me more time to know myself and to focus on self-improvement...in all aspects of life esp. spiritually growing closer to God alone, knowing more of my Lord and savior Jesus Christ, being single gives me the opportunity to be more prepared in meeting the right one.(^_^)

Hi, ya i'm very agree with you that indeed there're both good and bad being single.
Currently i'm single and i think i do like this too, although i also wish to be in a relationship, how contrast this is, haha. Being single is good that i can just do whatever i like, go anywhere i want, and do not have the responsibility or burden of taking care family or the other half. Those are the free-time a single person can enjoy. However, at the same time, because of single, i do not have someone to share all my happiness or sadness, and do not have the person to love and to accompany me when i need someone beside, although there're good friends i can find as companion, but that's just...different of feelings. Haha..anyway, it's most important that we enjoy living, enjoy life.

one thing i have to say is that i enjoy being single..as i have no stress related issues normaly characterised by relationships going downhill.you have alot of me-time& above all you can play alot around& not get questioned about it& im comfortable with iT

there is a saying a bachelor lives like a prince and dies like a dog and a married man lives like a dog and dies like a prince.
and there it is u have 2 alternatives u can live like a dog or live like a prince what would you choose makes the difference??????????????

There are advantages to being single. I have been divorced for 15 years and I am now 37yrs old. I love being single. It's tough because I don't have the support of a partner and financially I'm limited. But I get to come and go pretty much as I please. I clean when I feel like it and I never have to answer to anyone. Being single or married is just one of those things where people are all going to handle it differently. Some people were meant to have someone in there life because they can't function alone and others were not. And yes it's nice to be able to go out and have dinners with someone, but you know what, I'm perfectly happy going out to dinner alone. Sometimes I wish I did have someone to pay for it though, lol. But really everyone is different and married life isn't for everyone and then neither is single life.
