Hi rjbass, I once saw a really scary movie but it was so long ago that I don't know if I it would still be thought of as scary but I remember at the time thinking I would never watch this movie alone. It was called 'Black Christmas' and had Olivia Hussey in it, I don't even remember it much apart from something really scary around. a rocking chair but I definitely remember my vow to never watch it alone

I would add to your list of what appear to be classic scary movies, The Entity. It's probably one of the most disturbing movies I have watched and it freaked me out for days on end after the first time I watched it. It is a bit old now but still worth a watch if you like scary movies which are based on real life events. I would also add the Poltergeist movies as well as the first Amityville movie, both are worth watching.

lets see there is the Saw Series, then there is Chainsaw Masacre, Amyittyville horror, yep you see my age coming out here...lol Halloween, Nightmare on elm street, series... My kids liked these kinds of films as they got older so mom got to learn a few of them..
There are more they are into now, myself I don't really like them.

hi stephen, although you mentioned above are good horror movies i really suggest you to watch korean movies ...this movies give lot importance to horror genre and you will find lots of movies....for example "tale of two sisters " will really scare you to the core....although the scares in this film are really few it will remain long after film ends..
