just in case it loads unavailable or something? It is absolutely aggravating all this morning, the thunderstorm came again today! It makes my connection cutting on and off but I want to post on mylot so much so I just keep doing it, once it is connected, I post and I copy it before I send so I won't lose what I type; I hate losing the long content if I just forget to copy then I will neeed to re-type again... So do you copy first before you post?

Hello mermaidivy, Since it seldom happens to me, I don't make a habit of copying it first. But it happened to me once in a blue moon where my internet access was very slow that I lost everything that I hardly drafted here. I felt like it wasted a lot of time and since I got irritated by that, I went straight to sleep and never thought of the discussion anymore!

Well I never do myself because my connection is pretty good. But since you mentioned this maybe I should start doing that just in case. My computer has frozen up before but never when I am on mylot. When I had my laptop back in Feburay it did but never on my desktop. I guess this is a great thing to share and thanks for starting a cool discussion. Happy mylotting to you mermaidivy.

Do you copy first before you post? Hi there,,,,,,,hummmm, that is a good question but why would I need to copy it first and also for what purpose would it serve me to copy my message. Maybe I'm a little bit lost with this one but it just doesn't seem to make much sense to me. All that I do is read the post. Then I respond to it. I don't see much need in copying it? Well if you can offer any suggestions to help may my life on mylot easier, I'd really be open to hear about it, I"m all about simplicity. The simpler the better for me. Take care, Happy mylot!

I have only lost a few discussions through the years, so I don't bother to copy and paste my discussions into a different window or anything. But I guess if I was having trouble with my connection, it would definitely be something I would consider doing. I know it is really annoying to lose your discussion after typing it all out. It's like losing your thoughts. :)

I do experience the same thing if there's thunderstorm or even strong winds here. It is a wired up connection so I have to copy my response first just to make sure I have a back up in case I loose connection. However, when times are going smoothly like now, I just type and continue posting without copying it or previewing it.

I always do specially when there's a threat of bad connection and server error. Better to copy and paste it so you won't re-type it and sometimes you forget some words your were typing.

That's right! Just like today, it has been cutting off... I copy everything before I send out.

Hi mermaid...I actually don't copy first before I post. I've been lucky so far but I'm sure there will come a time when I'm not so lucky and I don't save something - of course that day I'll wish that I had copied first!

Hello friend, I am in New Delhi, the capital of India and it is not really thundering here.. it seldom does. Hence, I do not need to worry about those things. I did this some time back, when I was in my hostel, as it was a lot of thunder down there.
