Money really is the root of all evils! How far would you go?

As much as I would like to disagree with you, I cant. The sad part is that I am constantly hearing people act as if they are shocked by the goings on these days. The people we have elected to protect us and speak for us, as well as, set a good example are the ones disgracing us. If we cant trust them and believe in them, why should we bother. Society has given up. For example, I teach my children not to litter. The other day we were walking the dogs and my daughter went to throw something away and her friend said "throw it on the ground" Of course she didnt. She explained that to her friend that if we keep littering we wont have a place to walk our dogs or breathe fresh air. Her friend replied youre one person. Later that evening I was thinking about the incident and it is true. One person cant do it alone. If we all trust each other and work together it will work. As a society, we are untrusting of each other due to past experiences. Thats why the only thing that is guaranteed is the value of the almighty dollar. In difficult times instead of pulling together as they did in past centuries, we hoard as much as we can. I dont think we will ever change that. ITS TOO LATE. I still do things even if others dont. I know in my heart what I hold dearly. That's all I can do. I pray every night that things get better. If they dont at least I can say I tried. dl

You are correct that they do walk a different line than we do. However, that is because that's how society has deemed it. When all the dust clears the rules are the same. I do know what you mean with celebrities and money. Unfortunately money buys anything. This is true. Money cant buy the way your conscience feels. Money cant buy your childrens love. Some believe it that it can. In the end, we all know it wont. Most of us wont ever even come close to have gazillions of dollars. We have our dignity. Our power to decide. Unless we choose to be weak, no one can take that away. It is up to all of us especially the up and coming celebrities, politicians, etc to make an effort to do the right thing no matter what the numbers in the bank accounts read. What will happen when its all gone? If they were smart they would keep their dignity, and teach their loved ones to follow the examples they set forth. Time will truly tell.... To be honest as long as people put such a high value on money we will always have crime, evilness, and hate. I guess I answered my own questions. Thanks for your help friend! dl

I totally agree. It is really sad that legally she does have a little more leverage than anyone else because she is the biological mother. According to what they are saying ever since the not guilty finding she hasnt seen the children. That's what 3-4 years ago. Regardless she signed away her rights, reinstated them for the trial, never even went to see them after. Its sad to think that just because she is biologically a mother that she can get children that dont even really know her. I dont think I would want to live with a woman, who is my biological mom and got paid to stay away. She could've said NO on the cash and maintained a quiet loving relationship with her kids. Even if MJ made it difficult, she has rights in a court of law. Where MJ is concerned its not secret that the courts have treated him just like everyone else. No preferential treatment there. SHe had him by the balls. If he has them. Does he? that's another discussion.lolBottom line is that I would die if my children had even an idea that I wanted money more than them. That's human nature for a mother to protect her children. When has she ever stepped up to the plate? Only when it would make her look good. It is said she hasnt even tried to contact them. Thanks Moon! I dont take it personally. I understand what you're getting at. It is sad to say but I dont think there is a person alive that doesnt love money. When I selected the topic I assumed that people would get what I was trying to say. I am sorry if I confused anyone. I am just saying that I would hope that where children are involved people would make an exception as far as the the green-eyed monster was concerned. The mother of MJ's children had to know from the beginning he didnt want her for love. It was plain to see that even after they were married it was all about the pregnancy. Is she really that naive. I think she is a very intelligent woman. Maybe she just wants to prove that despite what the tabloids say about the family having the power, she wants to show them. I am sure they didnt welcome her with open arms. I dont think I have ever heard them speak of her. I have researched Michael Jackson since I was a child. There's not much I dont know as far as he is concerned. I think she is doing this just because. Who knows maybe MJ did keep her away. But with all the hoopla surrounding his every move, I would find it hard to believe that no one would have leaked it to the tabloids for a few bucks. His staff and friends are doing it with everything else. Who knows really? I dont think she wants them to be a mother. Just me talking. dl

Myself, I think aside from all the fame, if nothing else can be said about him, he was a H*ll of a performer and practicly invented coriogophy. ( Spelling).

YOU'VE HAVE SAID IT ALL! My friend. Its public record that Debbie Rowe herself has stated that MJ was awesome with the kids. Most importantly how can she live with herself if she separates the two from their brother. Havent they lost enough? SHAME on her. What goes around, comes around. I truly believe she will be held accountable for any/all wrongs she has and will do. If she is doing it out of love, that's a different story. dl

What about the people that have money and have no morality. People like myself who speak on it our wrong or jealous because we have none. I am going thru the most difficult time in my life right now. My daughter has cancer and I am out of work broke. I love my kids. We talk and spend time together. Because I cant afford medications and other things, I am bad. What about all the times I have given more than I should. Where are the people to help me. NOWHERE. And to be honest with you, I cry every night that by me not having employment will cause my daughter's illness to progress and I will not be able to afford meds she needs. This is the scaredest I have ever felt. I wish that all those who look upon children as meal tickets could walk a mile in my shoes. dl

Great point as always Lakota! You are correct. Money cant buy love.Lust maybe. I think it is great if you have it. Use it wisely. DOnt let it control you. If you did kill for money. Maybe you might not be lucky enough to let it get you out of it. Its not always a blessing to be wealthy. So Ive heard!. I must admit I would like to find that out for myself. RIght now I am literally struggling everyday.I must've applied for over 200 jobs. The economy is killing me. I am still here with my family. I love them no matter how hard life is. My daughter has only worked 2 short job calls in 2 years so keep pluging.
I have saw these lotto winner that win big most are dead now alot from ODing and some in car wrecks
but I too would like to now what it would feel to win something big like that!

Cobra I am so sorry you had to go thru that! I really and truly mean that. I lost my mom too so I know how hard it is. Especially when you know that the ones who supposedly loved her only want the money. You were so smart in sending it C.O.D.! I wouldnt have thought of that. How dare he! I am such a nice person, but when someone puts me through something like that, I have these vivid visions of that person dying a horrible, painful death and me feeling great about it. I'm sure it is horrible to wish for the death of anyone, but there are some people that just deserve it, you know? People that have no regard for the feelings of others, and of course people who have no regard for others period. Murderers, rapists, and the like. None of them deserve to occupy this planet. My mother's husband, while not a murderer, rapist or any other serious criminal, cares about no one but himself. He has devastated my whole family, and I would love to watch him pay for it.

Boy can I relate. It will get better. I am going thru the same thing. I barely keep my head above water. You are not alone. You are lucky to have parents to help. We have no one. In some ways I think in our case its better this way. My family has a tendency to remind you and everyone what they did. I couldnt bare to have it thrown in my face! I can understand. I've known people to remind others of their good deeds. I can understand they want the respect and attention, but it's so annoying when it's overdone. We know that they did something, and it's great they did, but reminding could only hurt, especially if it's constant " I did this for you, you do this for me! " or " I did this for you, pay me back!"

I only wish everyone was like you. Unfortunately they arent. Its sad really. I dont worry about things I dont have. I focus on what I do have. You know its not bad really. As long as I have my home and family, I am good. I would love a job though. I would sweep the street if I could. dl
