As a kid, do you ever play in rains???

All the time, and I do not believe that playing in the rain causes a cold etc, a cold is caused by a virus or infection of some kind that you get passed on via the air, friends, etc. not from playing in the rain. You may get chilled once you come in out of the rain but you will not get a cold from playing in the rain.

I love letting my kids play in the rain, I just make certain it is just a warm summer rain, no thunder etc.

When i was a kid i used to play in the rain, i love taking a bath in the rain together with my friends and cousins. We just running and running under the rain, its really a good experience for me as a kid, but sometimes i got cough and cold. I really missed those things but i can't never go back because i am already old to play in the rain. But remembering those happy days was really great. yes I used to love it in fact I still love it. last summer me and the kids were playing dodgeball outside and it began to pour down rain and the sun was still out. It ws not lightening so we continued to play we had a blast and the kids loved it. I just love the rain in general I wish it would rain some now we need it so bad and as hot as it is I would go play in it probably. LOL

As you and most children, I also used to play in rain, even upto the age of about 13. I, and my cousins generally went up to our home`s big roof and played cricket.
Ah, those were great days and always used to be a great experience no matter how many times i had played in rain that season.
Well, i still play some cricket but not in rain.

yes i used to play in rains as it creates a fresh environment and fresh mind that gives us boost to do our works with great interest.in the view of science it maintains ecological balance.especially during sunny days it protect us from the heat emanating from sun.

tuyakki, you are not alone. rainy season is one of my favourites. i used to go up onto the terrace with my cousins and chat. we used to love it. if i woke up in the morning with rain around, i would not go to school citing the rain as reason, but immediately thereafter, i would run away to play in the rain. oh, happy days, they were.

Hi Mylotter, thanks for starting an exciting discussion,which has been part of my life. I was born during Monsoon season so rains are part of my life and love the romantic and gloomy climate. I would like to stay at home and eat hot bajji's and make merry. During childhood, I would prepare paper boats and then float them in small water ponds. Also, I like the greenery around when it rains. Also, the smell which emanates when the first drop of rain hits the ground.

Yes, I was playing in the rain during my early childhood days. My sisters and my brothers since we only 1 or 2 years gap, hence we became playmates inside our house and in playing in the rain.

We have pics taken, where all of us were like newborn infants while we play in the rain undressed. There's a memories in here we couldn't forget. Even now when we see the rain starts we could laugh 'coz we remember those days before.

Now sometimes during outside the home when there's no chance to escape from rain, I just remove my shoes carry it with hands and I'll walk in barefoot to home! Rain really brought a human's life so hard to forget!

Yes a very lot a kid is not a kid if he does not play in rains. Not only playing in rains, we also used to sail the paper boats in the rain accumlated water and if there was holi- next day or after two days. that rain water affected mud used to become source of natural color for us.

I used to play in rain when I was a kid. I used to play only when small droplets of rain are falling and it is a real fun to play with those droplets and watching the black clouds and feeling the cool breeze. I miss those days!!
