Do you have a niece or nephew older than you?

My sister is only 2 years older than my son. She's 14, my son is 12. If they lived in the same area, they'd be in the same school. My sister just finished 8th grade and my son just finished 6th grade. Her friends think it's funny that her nephew is so close in age to her.
My foster brother has an uncle who is younger than him. My foster mom's mother had a child when my foster mom was already 24 years old and had already had 2 kids!!
Do you have a niece or nephew close in age to you, or are you the aunt or uncle of someone older than you?

This has happened in my family since my mom adopted my little sister(from birth) whom just turned eight and I am 35 on the 5th..and so my niece was 10 when she was born so that made my adopted sister her aunt..just weird..lol everyone thinks I am my sisters mom since I have her at my house as much as I can and so when we go places she is thought of as mine since even if my mom is there she sticks to me when we go shopping always has..

When I brought my oldest son home from the hospital, my mother and sister came too, so in the elevator was me, mom, my sister, and my son. Someone got on and asked my sister if she'd just had a little brother. My mom got angry about that, lol.

I feel that it my mom also gets mad sometimes because of that because she is always fast to make sure she points it out that I am big sis and not mommy..

I feel so silly! I read your discussion and then deleted it (from my email) because I didn't think I could reply. My sister has a step son who is like a year younger then me, or a maybe two years. I hadn't thought about it because I haven't seen her step son in some time now, since I was 13 or 14. I don't really consider him my nephew though I guess he is my step nephew. She (my sister) has two children, but they are both younger then I am with one being in Elementary school and one not yet to have started.
I can't comment on my fiance, he has no neice or nephew unless you count his brother's step children, but I don't know there ages.

I don't have a niece or nephew close to my age. I have a friend that does. Her niece is actually a year older than she is. Their family had a habit of getting pregnant at 16. So her mom got pregnant at 16. Then her daughter got pregnant at 16 and shortly after the mom got pregnant again having my friend. I'm sure they had some jokes about it over the years and had fun saying yea this is my aunt, she is younger than me lol.

I have a nieces and nephew close to my age, and an aunt of someone younger than me, but not older than me, i enjoy our company together, we laugh, we talk, we sing, we play, and sometimes i teach them.

Hi. I don't have a niece or nephew close in age to me or an aunt or uncle older than me. I do however have an uncle is a year younger than me. :) We both went to high school together and we even shared a limo for junior senior prom. Everyone thought it was cool. At times though we didn't think so. We have a great relationship. He is more like my brother than my uncle.
