When you reply to a topic do you expect a comment? When?

Yeah, this is what supposed to be a discussion is it's "interaction", a discussion without interaction is not a discussion at all.

Me for many times I won't mind if I don't earn for a 1 line comment just to say "thank you", yeah, only to show value for others participation.

Important is the happiness when we received the response, and therefore we should share the happiness to the respondents by saying "thank you" or informing them that we read their message.

You are right! it is important. Interaction is the key to a good discussion. If a discussion has a many responses and each of them are posting comments with others, more users will participate to it because the discussion is active. I also want to keep it active by posting comments. I still do that even it is late and if I am happy if I receive comments even it is late, at least they tried and I understand that all of us here are doing other things aside from getting online.

Yup! Same as in chat room, no one will stay if nobody in the roomexcept himself/herself. Well in some (exceptional) cases like in monologue/declamation one would talk alone and others would listen - but note that here there are audience.In the case of discussion here in mylot there is that delay of reply but least with reply, yeah!

Unlike in chatroom where replies must be quick and if you want to get out temporarily, you can type 'brb' (be right back) or 'afk' (away from keyboard) to let them know that you are offline for a period of time. In here, discussions are open for everyone and it is fine even there are delays on posting replies as long as the users participated in it. In addition to my comment above, we must also consider the other things other members are doing aside of being online here as the reason of the delay on replies, at least they tried.

Yeah! You're right. It's the timemakes the 2 differs, of both there is in common and difference.

Well as long as there is still a comment from a prior respondent, I won't stop replying.

Unlike with chatting if I see my mate offline seldom I send message. In here I won't stop not until you told me to do so!

Nice one! with that attitude, you can create a lot of good discussions here that keeps active for a longer period of time. And I will be the one of responders who keeps on replying as long as there are users who post comments on my responses. keep it up!

Well the number of your posts definitely will tell, why you won't mind anymore 'coz I'm sure you have innumerable friends and in a day you won't be zero. This is my opinion here. Hope I'm only 50% wrong. Happy mylotting!

I always check back for the discussions that I had responded previously to see if I receive comments from other users and the discussion starter so I can reply back to them. I rarely check my email for notifications because I am always online here so I just look at my profile for the discussions that I responded.

Me I used to click first the window "started" then I could see from the top to bottom who replied in my discussion. I always pay attention to the messages from various respondents.

It become my habit that first time I make here in mylot is to open the "started" folder, I usually reply in the latest one.

There has been time where I do not have comments, it has to do with when I commented or started a discussion.
But it has happened.

You have a point there, by having friends, your discussions will not be classified as 'zero responses'. You can ask your friends to respond on your discussions. Anyway, I rarely start my own discussions so I just prefer to respond on them and to stay at a topic if it is active and look at my profile to see on discussions I had replied. I also dig up to older topics sometimes if the discussion is interesting and/or if it is active.

Hmmmm, I respect your opinion, "well as you've said below 10%", so at least you have that reservation to expect. Yeah, you're right the factor of "interesting" is a basis here.

Well that's your opinion and I respect that, as a matter of fact your total number of posts denotes that you have reason to opt not expect of course there are much interesting things for you to spend on your minutes such as to reply to your interested topic or create your own topic, rather than to read comments (not all are interesting). I hope you won't mind my comment.

Hmmmmm, it seems that there is something with the "two of you(this what I observed baesd on your message)", I find it difficult to comment on that point - he ignored you maybe he wanted to caught your attention or the other way around, he he he.

Yup! I got your point. That's a very practical reasons as long as there is happiness, for not being bored with the expectation of unknown replies. Just continue on read and type, receive what had came then give back if you can.

Yup, approved! I agree, to expect is to know therefore if the response was helpful or not. It's not as you're forcing or obligating( we don't know how the responder would act) the person to comment but the purpose is to know the impact of the response made.

Wow! That's good. For me more than one but I keep on starting a new discussion whenever I want to. Because here as long as you're happy and don't make any violation rules. Yeah, many times I have a discussion of zero, sometimes after 2 to 3 days somebody will reply, not bad at all.
