Here it is, the new me. It's not the best picture, but I'll get a better one in a few days. It's pretty swollen, still red and very tender. This is also a picture of me and my 2 sisters. We each got our tattoo today!

Oh no, this is my 3rd, and it's not quite done yet either. We all decided when we got there that we wanted to add something to link them, but we couldn't figure out what. About halfway through we agreed that we wanted to add a small candle flame to each tattoo, but he didn't have time to do it so we're going back in August.
Then I want one more and I think I'll be done...

Oh my first one was the only one I wanted. I remember my friends' husband laughing at me when I realized I wanted a second one!

Great tat! Love the design. You designed this one yourself, didn't you? And what a fine time to get this one done! Happy Independence Day to you and all!

Actually, mine has a bit of history - they all seem to!
When 9/11 happened I knew that next day that I wanted a flag tattoo. Everyone was buying up those flags that stick out of your window on the car and I knew that those were only temporary and I wanted something permanent. But, I didn't want just a rectangle, I wanted a wavy flag with some shading. I kept looking and never saw anything that struck my fancy, until the next July 4th (2002). The kids all had patriotic fake tattoos and when I saw this on one kids face I had to have it. I've been carrying around this fake tattoo for 1 day short of 7 years. When my sisters said they were getting tattoos done yesterday I had them check and see if the guy could do me at the same time. He said he'd try to do me if he had time since he was pretty much booked that day. Fortunately he was able to and we all got them done. We're going to go back in August and add a candle flame to them each so they are really tied together.
My sister - on the right of me - had her daughter draw that one up. My niece actually wants to be a tattoo artist. She's been designing a few and will be working on my husbands soon.
The other sister - the mushrooms - had the guy draw it up for her. It was kinda strange because they are moving their shop to the other end of the little center they're in so all their pictures were taken down. She knew what she wanted, but didn't have a picture so he drew it up. It took a few redos on paper to get what she wanted.
I think they all turned out great and we had an awesome time!

I like your tat reiny, looks sooo red and raw though, does it still hurt?. I also like the tat on your sissy's foot also, the one on the right side..I don't have any tats but lately I was thinking about getting a few.

Yeah, mine was the last one done, so theirs had healed for 1 or 2 hours already. Mine doesn't look as red today, but it's still sore and puffy. I'm going to take another picture so it's clearer, so expect to see that one soon!
They are something you need to think about. All of mine took AT LEAST a year for me to get. I had to make sure it was something I wanted (they're permanent!) and the placement is pretty important too.
Good luck with getting yours!
