What do you prefer to drive, AT or MT?

I have tried to drive both MT(Manual Transmission) and AT(Automatic Transmission) cars. Our family car is using MT and that is what I mostly use. I learned and used to be familiar with AT when I was using my former girlfriend's car. But if I have to choose, I would still prefer the Manual Transmission coz I'm more comfortable with it. How about you, which do you prefer to drive, a car with Manual Transmission or a car with Automatic Transmission?

i would prefer the automatic. hehe when i learned to drive back in mindanao, i studied using the manual transmission. but all the company cars we were using in our office back then as well as the cars at home were automatic. so i drove an automatic and i loved it. it's easier because i don't have to worry about shifting gears all the time, and i just need to step on the gas if i need to drive faster. but i'm not confident enough to drive when i moved here in luzon... especially in manila where traffic is crazy and with all the one-way roads especially in makati.

i did learn how to drive manual transmission cars but ever since i got my license i've been driving automatic cars. i don't think i know how to drive manual cars anymore haha..or how to balance the accelerator and the clutch- i'm really bad at that. so for me it's definitely automatic transmission cars

I have driven both manual and automatic cars and far prefer a manual transmission. I once had a 4.2 ltr Jag automatic, whilst my brother-in-law had the same car in manual. His had much faster acceleration and better fuel consumption. An auto-box tends to use up more of the engine's power and fuel than a manual - well at least it used to do, perhaps modern cars have changed now though. - Derek
