This are rules to fallow for a real man?
In older times, a man can be knight if he fallow this 3 rules.
Do you think that in modern times this rules can be fallowed?
Must a real man to have this 3 qualityes?

Hi, Marianna!
The rules of chivalry were never so simple as that. There are actually dozens of rules for chivalry. The rules you put forth are the basis of many of those rules, although not exactly as written. Becoming a knight was never easy ...
Respecting your God is something upon which the rules of almost every society in history bases its behaviors. Of course, today we Americans are celebrating our independence from England because we wanted to respect God as we saw fit, and they put us in jail for that. As for loving one's woman, the knights were to show unerring respect for all women, and at least make an effort to be a decent husband to one's wife, but they rarely did that. Most had lovers of both sexes and it was accepted because they had money and power. As for defending one's country, knights often had paid staff to do that for them, and they seldom joined armies themselves. None actually made it to Jerusalem during the crusades because they found themselves enjoying life far from their homes, with new families, etc.
Today, chivalry is easier. All a man or a woman has to do is be the best person he or she can be, and aim to improve every day. A man or woman who does this is really human, and that's the goal!

Is a great explanation, i know that people make what they can t today, to be real human and this is maybe the most important in this dirty world.
Day by day people forgot about real values, and try to be in competition ...maybe this is good, but they want just win, they don t care how they win

I think these three knighten rules can be followed but are not followed much! Less and less men see the value (and valor) in defending their countries. Less men (and women) respect God. And sorry guys... don't think a man many times knows how to love a woman! (But for that matter a woman doesn't really know how to love a man either!) It would be great to have a man like this though!! :)

hi mariaana.. At this juncture I would like to mention that this phrase was used in the movie Troy by Prince of troy hector. As you said this code was strictly followed by soldiers in the ancient past. By the way, I am not sure that this code is followed by anyone today in this materialistic world.cheers....
