All through life
and down through the ages
women are unglorified
in the history pages
The seed of mankind
they have planted
We choose to ignore
we take them for granted
Givers of life
receivers of grief
They are cast aside
like some passing belief
History is a lesson
that is to be learned
Study well men
peace between genders be earned.

It's certainly doesn't have any connotations connecting it with God or any other deity. It's meant figuratively to mean that without them mankind would not "grow." Obviously since the poem is about my respect for women there is no need to mention that mankind can't exist without men (or God). | |
