This is where I would have to put my foot down on this one. I know that a man dying as big as Michael Jackson meant a great deal to many people as he did to me as well. I just wonder why they have to show his body to the same people that mocked him when he was alive. Put the body to rest already. I wonder how the body has held up this long to begin with. When my sister died and when normally people they are buried within the week that they have died. They are saying that police have blocked sections off from people getting in that don't have a ticket to attend. How can they possibly keep every one from getting in. They just don't have enough people on the force to handle that. This would have to be a state wide thing wouldn't it. I mean looked at what a spectacle the trials caused when they happened in LA and in California. I mean what are they thinking. I think that BET done the best job to commemorate Jackson in everything he did from the time he was a boy to an adult. I'm just ashamed that they do not have as much respect for that man before he died and that he had to die in order to get the respect that so many say he deserved. They say its expected to be one of the biggest memorials the country has ever seen. They are saying that close to 50 theaters across the country are going to be showing the memorial live for free. I know that Michael Jackson was a big ICON. I seen him as larger than life myself. He proved to a lot of people that if some thing was impossible he made it possible. I just think that even though the family had there private ceremony that the man should be allowed to put to rest. I don't they honestly have a clue at the his soul could face if his body is not put to rest. I'm sorry for my opinion if it offends people but this has got to be where I say enough is enough. Bury him already so that his soul can be in peace. Keeping him above ground is not going to bring him back. I think its a crying shame that they have to put a corpse in a place where your supposed to be remembering a person and what he did when he was alive not when he was dead. Why didn't they just have everyone invited to the funeral i mean that's pretty much what they are doing with taking the body to the staple center to have there for the memorial. I just think its stupid and they need to let him rest.

I was very surprised when I heard on the radio that they were going to have his body at the Staple Center and I agree that it's not appropriate. I also heard that this event is costing California an obnoxious sum of money that the state can't afford to spend in order to provide the law enforcement personnel necessary to block streets and provide security. The state's financial situation is so strained that they are asking folks to go to a website and donate money to help defray some of the expense.
