Hi, I was thinking about buying a mini laptop that can be carried more easily and can access internet and use some word processing. well maybe also store a few photos, a movie and some music to watch and listen while travelling. However I don't know exactly if this is good and how fas would the internet browsing be as I don't know anyone who owns such laptop. I have seen that some of them have Linux instead of Windows which I never used and don;t know if some programs would be compatible. Also they have Flash Solid State Drive. Can you advise some good netbooks for my needs and have good info that I must know before actually deciding to buy as I don't want to waste money, that is a bit tight at the moment. Have a nice day!

I don't really like netbooks. Sure, they're small, but they don't have much computing power or storage, and seem very expensive for what they are. For just a bit more cash, you can buy a low-end laptop.

You are right, they don't have much storage. But I already have a laptop and need a smaller one to carry with me.

Yes, if I got a netbook, it would be just as a gadget really, as I already have a desktop and laptop.

Hi, Its better you go for Laptops than mini laptop because they don't have more storing capacity and at the same time they will not be very user-friendly nowadays laptops are very cheap compared to the past so its better to go with a laptop and with the windows OS in it or else vista will also work But if there is linux then u got to study the program and 1 more thing is that you are not able to play music expect .wmv format So think agian HAPPY MYLOTTING

Hi Dolphin, I only use a laptop for travel and for the desktop at home. I'm not interested in the netbook. From the specification that I read, seem netbook have a limited capacity and fast heat.
