Can be a person generous and stingy same time? Do you know a person like this?

i am stingy when it comes to buying things that are very overpriced for what the item is worth, but i am generous when buying presents and giving money to charity

I am trying not be wasteful but not to the point of being stingy. I am sure a person can be generous and stingy at the same time, I believe it works in the way that they want to be helpful without people taking advantage of them.

There are people who have brilliant flashes of generosity, and are generous on their own terms, but who, the rest of the time, are incredibly stingy. I think it's a control thing. They want the world to think they are generous, but in reality they really aren't.

Hi there! I cannot call myself a stingy person. I love to spend money, wherever required and wherever needed. If any of my friends come for my help, I do not shy away from giving him/her my helping hand. I feel sometimes its vice versa may also happen and I may go to a friend for his help and if he says no, then how I would feel. I do not think that a stingy person is appreciated and liked by others. What about you?

oh yes, i know my sister is like that she is very stingy but would only extend to help us during emergency. i think she save her money for more important things. she does not like to shop and like to save a lot for her future. so she plan to invest or become entrepreneur to have something to fall back not depending on her job. since recession and job stability is threaten for a lot of times so not depending on it and create new sources of livelihood always on her mind.

A very delicate subject, but the harsh reality .. and now we face daily is that such people be people who forget .. But it's our choice whether or not we help others, if we want to do something for others or not. Sadly, that selfishness is rampant superficiality and dominate. Money talk today .. People forget to pay attention to others, even loved ones and realize their loss until after it has occurred. The fact is that there are people who do something for their peers, people who love to share the last cookie with a stranger .. I have met such people and have touched me, influenced me .. I think there humanity in people .. and love for neighbor, I am a convinced optimist.
