Recess

Interesting question, im surprised no one has answered yet. Here are some of the games I played in elementary school.

*Tag - a classic
*Marriages - I can remember being 5/6 years old and playing marriages with my friends. The whole day we would spend setting up a wedding, bridal party ect.. and even making invitations. The whole class would talk about this and at lunchtime we wold hold the wedding on the belltower platform which looks a bit like a wedding alter. I never got married myself but I was often a bridesmaid.
*Skipping/Jumprope - You know the long ropes that two or three people can jump between and everyone chants a song.
*Make believe televison shows/movies - I remember we pretended we were in a television show or movie. I can remember being 6 years old and running around pretending I was poision ivy or catwoman from batman or when I was older pretending to be one of the sisters from charmed. Gee, we played odd games at my school.
*Heads down tails up - When everyone puts their head down and thumbs up. The two who are chosen pick two people and touch their thumb.Everyone sits up those whose thumbs were put down stand up and they guess who they think did it.

Wow, this list is bringing back so many memories.
