it depends. every person is unique. we do have basic NEEDS but beyond that category it depends largely on that individual. our hearts have different desires. the answer really is up to the person. how much is enough, that is the question.
i will just speak for myself: i do have too many wants in life. this is because i deserve it. and i know i am capable to achieve it. i continue to evolve as a person, grow as a person. I never wanted to be complacent in my life because that means living a stagnant life.
I hope my answer makes sense. :)

wow you really said how I felt. I may want a lot but i know I deserve a lot and I understand that in order to get what i want hard work is going to be my task.

For me not everyone. But most people are really frustrated about their condition 'cause they expect too much. Some people are just contented and thankful for what they have though they don't have a comfortable life. If you expect too much you just be disappointed 'cause this is not a perfect world that we are living today.

Hi Jemifer. I completely understand your stand in the discussion. If we want something and want it SO BAD then we need to exert effort to get it. Those people who get frustrated with their life maybe (just maybe) don't do anything to achieve what they want in life. They expect too much and do so little. I can see those people complaining and yet don't do anything to solve their problems. In my humble opinion, we need to HOPE rather than EXPECT in life. For those who are contented with their life nor do not complain with their situation, I salute them for that. It really depends on each of us how we measure our contentment in life.

It is hard to know, I believe we all basically want the same things in life, to be happy, to have a home, someone to love and who will love us back, someone to care for and that cares for us, a family, and maybe a pet, we want to have things that will makes us, and we want security.
I am there are other people with other wants and needs but I believe what I wrote before is what we all want.
