I am very fond of cooking with peppers. Greek salad wouldn´t be what it is without them. I put them in my casseroles, fry them in olive oil with garlic for appetizers. The last recipe I got was awesome. You dice peppers of all the colors you can get (skin and all, I even used a hot pepper too) and make a caramell (water and sugar). When it´s thick you add the peppers and let them boil for a couple of minutes. Spread over Philadelphia cheese and put crackers on the side. YUMMY!!! Do you like peppers? Do you have your own favorite recipe you´d like to share?

I use peppers alot in my cooking to. In fact i have put up 4 gallon bags of them already. they are so expensive in the grocery especially in the winter that i always do this. I have been getting them for 50 cents at the farmers market & this winter no telling what they will be. I don't have a special recipe for them just put them in alot of things i cook.

GOOD MORNING, I use to have a customer & friend that made a mean pepper relish but she would never give me the recipe because she said she didn't have one she just stirred it up & canned it.It was soooo good. She is still living maybe i should ask her again, lol.

Ask your friend about the pepper relish and PLEASE hand it over. It doesn´t matter if she uses words like "a pinch of this" and "a little of that". We´ll rediscover it. Hug

I do the same. In fact I don´t cook with recipes anymore. I just wait for inspiration to come. Many times it depends on the contents of the fridge

You said it right; it is some kinda magic that pepper has with it that it makes the dishes so great, despite rendering it spicy! Ok have you ever tried stuffed peppers. if not that is something you wuld like, after all, stuffing helps you choose the taste you would want to have in peppers. Have a look at this recipe for stuffed peppers, it shows a very interesting and step by step process of making stuffed peppers http://www.ifood.tv/recipe/stuffed_bell_peppers_0 Also, you can even have a look at the vast and extensive pepper recipes here: http://www.ifood.tv/network/pepper_recipe/recipes Enjoy! :)

Stuffed peppers (the ones that look like a cup) are part of my childhood. My mom stuffed them with fried rice, groung meat and fried diced onions. They were grat. She put them to cook on a tomato sauce. YUMMY!!!

My husband loves peppers. I like them, but as I get older I can't handle the heat as much as I used to. But I love green peppers. I have a jalepeno recipe that is fantastic. Some of the heat cooks out of the peppers so it is not to hot for me, plus all the flavors together are so good. I posted it on another site so instead of re-typing it all I will just give you the link. http://www.ehow.com/how_2263244_low-carb-jalapeno-appetizer.html Hope you like it.

I love peppers (not the hot ones, my hubby like them hot). I like to steam red and green peppers with sliced onions in a large skillet, while boiling Italian sausages. When the vegies are done steaming, I slice up the sausage and add it to the vegies with olive oil. I like to get the sausage slices browned. Boy is it ever delicious!!

How about adding a crushed clove of garlic?
