just find a beautiful notebook. the more beautiful it is, the more sacred it will feel to you, but it definitely doesn't have to be manufactured with the intention of being a book of shadows. I know someone that uses a leather filofax, with notepaper pages, rather than diary pages in it. mine is a specific one, which I bought when the Witchcraft museum re-opened after the boscastle floods, and I love it. I also loved that the money went towards getting a business I care about back on its feet. but it really doesn't have to be specific.

Filofax ia company that does personal organisers. so like mini ringbinders, usually made of leather. basically they're designed to be re-used each year with new inserts, and as well as the diary pages you can also get address book pages and notebook pages.

You do not need to buy a book one that is made from your two hands is better then anything you can ever buy it is from your soul not some person who it is not meant for. For me I do not have a book a have a recipe box and I fill in the cards when I learn something new and I also have a card there for my children and the others that will follow that will never know or see me in human form. It is something that tells them how much I love them and give them blessings

a book of shadows is not necessarily one of those big fancy ones you see on wiccan sites. it can be as simple as a 2 dollar three ring notebook. as far as making it...cant help you make a book of shadows. a BOS is a like a journal for wiccans and pagans filled with their experiences and anything they find important to them as they walk that path. but you have to have those experiences...we cant just give them to you.

If you can buy a blank book, you can buy a book of shadows. What makes it a book of shadows isn't what's outside the book, but what you put inside. If you don't have a teacher yet, use the book to keep notes on everything. Things you see during your day that stir thoughts of magick. Something interesting you read and want to remember. A doodle you want to make into a mandala. Insights you had while divining. A good recipe and the occult aspects of ingredients. Everything. If and when you do have a teacher, take notes on what you get taught in there.
