A year ago we lost a baby. we where half way through pregnancy when she was still born. We have other children but would like to try again but nothing seems to be happening. Has anyone else gone through this and what did you do? Also if you have a child old enough to understand a baby was coming but not old enough to get that she no longer is how do or did you get them to stop asking. Everyone told me she would stop after a while but still she asks and we explain but it will not get through she just doesn't understand.

I'm so sorry to hear about your baby. Our baby boy was still born 22 years ago. We were blessed that we had another little girl and a little boy after the still birth. So don't give up on wanting more children. You have to give your body a chance to heal. You have been thru a lot emotionally, it takes time.
It is hard for little ones to understand. I don't know your religious beliefs, but we explained to our others that the baby had went to live with Jesus and the Angels. We talked about him and let them know it was ok to talk about their feelings.

We too have said this and our poor pastor had to field the "when will the angels give my sister back?" question which he handled very well, but I think in her head it is the same as saying her cousins live the next state over, their there even if she cannot see them all the time but sometimes she gets to play with them anyway.....sigh...it's hard when your little
