Your interpretation of this Bible Verse Please. |
|
"But when you ask Him, be sure that your faith is in God alone. Do not waver, for a person with divided loyalty is as unsettled as a wave of the sea that is blown and tossed by the wind . . . Their loyalty is divided between God and the world, and they are unstable in everything they do" (James 1:6, 8 NLT).
Written in another James is saying, "But when you pray, you must believe and not doubt at all. Whoever doubts is like a wave in the sea that is driven and blown about by the wind. If you are like that, unable to make up your mind and undecided in all you do, you must not think that you will receive anything from the Lord" (James 1:6-7 TEV).
Wow! this is good! We have to exercise our faith and our faith is an on going thing. This is a continuing action, FAITH! It is doing and having FAITH continually!
Please share your input along with this too. God bless you!

ClassyCat (690) | 6 months ago | To me this verse speaks of being focussed in our faith for the answer and stand on the promises of God to us.
Not always, do we get what we ask for - but we continue on in the faith believing, and patiently waiting for God to give us wisdom, concerning answered prayers, and those that for some reason, seem to be either answered with a 'no' - or a 'wait awhile longer.'
I like the verse in 2 Timothy 2:13 that says even if we "believe NOT - yet He abides faithful" because He cannot deny Himself - - in other words, He's still the God who hears our prayers, even in time of little or no faith at all - His love for us is just that great.
No wonder why I love Him so.

3. flowerchilde (6827) | 5 months ago | To me faith is the 'ground wire' that recieves the promis.. or another way to put it is the open pathway.. and if we waver or doubt, it's like puttin bouldrs in the way.. so here we are advised to have clear, solid and even bold faith.. as wavering and doubting delays the outcome..
