How did you feel when you were a newlywed?

I actually got married two weeks ago, and my new husband and I celebrated with a large reception at our home. It was a really nice reception. Everything was simple and easy. After we were married, I felt so much happiness. I just feel like we are completed. A whole family finally. We have our beautiful daughter, a house, and each other. Things really haven't changed at home, but we are defiantly much closer. The way we look at each other, and just respect one another. He has actually been waking me up before he goes to work to tell me how much he loves me, and calls me on his way home just to say I love you. It is just utter happiness, I absolutley know that he is my soul mate.
How did you feel when you were a newlywed? Did you have marital bliss? Are you married to your soul mate?

I got married in 2006 - that's 3 years ago. When I was a newly wed husband, I felt like a new person. I felt that life has changed for me. I had been single for 38 years, I had been free all this while with nothing to care for. Once married, I felt that I have to be more responsible as I've a wife, and later perhaps children to look after and support.
Yeah, when I was a newly wed, I felt that now I've someone in my life to share my joys and my pain, and I still thank God that a colleague introduced this wonderful wife to me.

I am a year married and I was also very happy with the way our life has been doing. I have my adjustment period when we got married because I have to transfer to the east side to be with my husband. I have been happy and I think that I am with the right person...who is my soulmate. We have the same values and likes. We basically havent had a hardtime adjusting to each other. Life has been so kind and fair to us. We have stonger bonding now than before. Thanks for this post. happy myloting.
