What cause would you stand for? |

| We are sensitive people and we all have our priorities when it comes to demonstrate or support a cause. What cause you really would stand for? What makes you feel disgusted and push you to stand up with it? Thanks. | | | | | |

| | There are a few that i feel very strongly and would stand for range from from the environment, childrens health and child labour, abolishing some age old customs that we have here, human rights and cruelty . The one thing however which has made me stand up before and gets me going is a cause for peace and harmony. Violence, bloodshed and destruction all in the name of religious, ethnic and social divide has something which i have been against always and would do my bit in promoting peace and harmony. Our world would be such a beautiful place to live in if we all learnt to live together in peace. And what about you Mimpi ? | | | | | | |

| | You have hit the nail ion the right spot Alok. "Peace and harmony" could change the society unwinding all the malicious practises. We cannot have peace and harmony without having our children giving home, safety and love, we cannot have it without ensuring the seniors respect, reliability and assurance, nor could we have it without loving each other! Thanks. | | | |

| | I think I would stand for violence against children especially the girl child. Very often the girls in families are abused in different ways and they cannot do anything against it. If I ever came to know of any child being harrassed in the family I would definitely try and fight for her. | | | | | | |

| | I agree with you totally mentalward! The medical care in the US is disgusting! If you don't have money to pay for insurance and meds, the government does give a damn how you manage! | | | |

| | This is indeed sad state of affairs. People are denied of necessary medical facilities - what could be more gross! Situations here are worse. People are harassed, declined and made to die unattended. Medicare will invariably have an issue or two to deny you of your privilege. How are you dear? I heard about your heart ailment. I just hope you get better and get all that you need to make yourself happy. Love and hugs. | | | |

| | People here have died waiting in emergency rooms because the ones who could pay are always seen first. Sometimes, those without an ability to pay are never seen at all, but sent away. I still don't know what is going on with my heart. I'm being seen by doctors because I do have insurance, although, to date, out of almost $5,000.00 in medical bills, our insurance has only paid for $136.00 so far, yet we're paying almost $400.00 a month to HAVE this medical insurance! But, aside from that, I am getting seen by doctors. I'm wearing a Holter monitor right now to record my heart for 24 hours. Those 24 hours will be over in about a half hour, when I am to return the monitor to the hospital where a cardiologist will look at it. I cannot drive because I'm so weak and lightheaded, so my husband went in to work very early this morning and is leaving work at noon today so he can return the monitor. I have an appointment to have an echocardiogram on the 20th, just four days from now. I should be getting a call today to get an appointment for a stress test soon. I am to speak with a cardiologist on the 30th unless these tests show something serious. So, I'm just trying to take it easy until I have these tests and get the results. Did you read my discussion about spending the day in the ER on Tuesday? | | | |

| | H dear I am sorry for being late here. I just hope that your Echocardiogram and Holter reports are OK. I work with a leading Interventional Cardiologist of the country, who besides being a great doctor is a great human. I am concerned about you. Pls tell me if you want to know anything. | | | |

| | Hi mimpi. I had my echocardiogram yesterday. I joked about my heart having "hiccups". Three normal beats, then a "double beat". That's the way it was during the entire test. I'm not sure what's going on yet, but it seemed as though the technician doing the echo concentrated far longer on one specific area of my heart. (Facing me, it would be the upper left area of my heart.) Whether that means anything or not, I don't know. She couldn't say anything, I know, because she's not a doctor, but she did say she saw the extra heartbeat. I still have it. It just won't go away. She told me that the cardiologist would be reviewing the results last night and my doctor would get the results today or tomorrow. I'm keeping my phone by my side all day today, and tomorrow if need be. If it turns out to be purely stress, I'll be sending copies of the reports, all of them including my last visit to my internist, who sent me to the ER, then the report from the ER plus the cardiologist's report directly to my senator, congressman and the disability judge. MAYBE, that will push my disability case to the top of the pile and I'll hear something soon about it. I just don't understand the fluctuating pulse rate, from 62 to 110 back down to 70something, up again, down again, all while I'm resting. I don't get it. If you know what would cause that, I'd love to know! From what I could see on the monitor, it looked like my veins and arteries were all open, not clogged up with plaque or anything. Guess I'll just have to wait and see. | | | |

| | Thanks for the update. The heart could fluctuate due to various reasons. The cardiologist definitely would tell you about this in details. Permanent pacing is only necessary when it gets much above or below your range. So, you relax dear. There are various medicines to keep heart rates in check. You take care. | | | |

| | Thank you, mimpi. That actually does relax me some, knowing that I will most likely not need a pacemaker. I haven't heard anything yet, so there can't be anything urgent going on. I think I'd have heard something by now if something had to be done immediately. I'm still having the palpitations and my pulse rate is still fluctuating, but I do feel much less stress now than I did. For now, my husband has changed his attitude and is being nice, considerate and caring. I hope he's finally realized that he's probably the main reason why I've been suffering from such stress. He's been attentive and helpful since Sunday night. For now, I'll accept that much. But, I'll still work on becoming financially self-sufficient so I never feel "stuck" in a bad relationship ever again. Hopefully, our insurance will pay for these tests. Based on past experience, I'm not counting on it, but it would be hard for them to say that this was a 'pre-existing condition' since I've never been treated for palpitations or fluctuating pulse rate before now. It really is horrible not knowing whether the insurance we pay for will do what we pay for it to do: pay our necessary medical bills. | | | |

| | The medical expenses are quite exorbitant there, I heard. I just hope you get the clearance from Mediclaim. It's good to know that things are better on your personal front. Emotional hurts and pains are so painful to deal with and you are such a sweet person dodging those and smiling at life. Love you dear and be happy always. Hugs. | | | |

| | I usually stand up for things where someone else is being treated unfairly by someone bigger and stronger, but dumber, than the victim. I don't like unfairness, and too often feel a moral responsibility to stand up for the underdog. | | | | | | |

| | Hi mimpi! Well, the cause that I would stand up for and demonstrate for is any type of animal abuse! I am an avid animal lover and can't stand to see or hear about any type of animal being hurt in any way! So I would do anything that I could to help! I have donated money, signed petitions, written letters, and would do whatever else I could to help stop any type of animal abuse! And if I could I would adopt every homeless animal I could, even though that is impossible it breaks my heart to even see one stray animal on the street or in a shelter! So if anyone here can help the abused animals or stray animals by contributing, please do! Thank you, Opal | | | | | | |

| | I abhor cruelty to animals and I will go to great lengths to ensure that any creatures great and small that I come across are taken care of. It is something that I have always felt very strongly about ever since I was a child. When we lived in Italy my dad had a workshop with a courtyard which was home to many cats; I used to take care of babies that had been rejected by their mother and any injured ones; I actually managed to save a few! I love animals; they need us to look after them and that is something I definitely feel very strongly about. | | | | | | |

| | So sorry dear mimpi for my late attending to your lecture room...hahaha!(after 18 hours ago) because today the bus that I always commute, workers holding strike. OK back to your question. What cause would you stand for? So far, when I felt my life principle and property threatened and able to slides me to no value at all. Normally, at instance I used life physics theory for every action there must be reaction. My reaction must ensure that I am on gainer side and I am not looking for to be a winner. A gainer means obtaining full scale of advantages and all of its beneficial value. I must stand with my clear motive in getting strong objectives. It is a common phenomenon, community applied "Life is short". To make new different be out of common or ordinary, I have to fully utilize the meaning of "short" in that saying sentence. Make it "beautiful" - Life is beautiful. I'll standalone although 1million people or mind against me. That is the beautiful mine. That is why I love very much watching my evergreen movie - A Beautiful Mind, features how to standalone. | | | | | | |
