I was looking at an online diet program which is free, Sparkle people, and I was wondering if anyone else had tried any online dieting program and if it worked at all. I want to lose a good amount of weight but I find keeping track of things rather hard since not only am I busy but I am a total scatter brain anyway. If you have tried and it worked what one did you use?

Dont worry about dieting. I found that what I am doing is working and it is much healthier then the other ways. I eat about every three hours very small meals. I heat give or take about 100 calories every meal and then at dinner I have between 500 to 800 calorie meal. If you eat a snack before 7:30pm you can have about 100 calories worth. After that time i wouldn't eat because then your body wont digest it right. I have done this for the past three weeks and have lost about ten pounds. And I still eat a cookie here and there, next week is my birthday and I requested for cupcakes (they are my favorit). When the weekend comes give into your craving, dont over do it because you can gain pounds fast, however have a candy bar, a bowl of ice cream. I do this so that during the week i dont get the urge to crash my diet. I am busy to and dont have time to do the counting and all that crap. You dont have to hit 100 calories but try to stay with in the range. Well got to go. Let me know how it goes. Happy Mylotting!

I like food to much I would just keep picking all day long. I do try to eat smaller meals with snacks in between but I have to say I forget to eat some times and then splurge too much at the next meal.

That is why one would need self control. I am like you. I love food. I crave alot all the time. Try chewing gum when you get those cravings or swish some mouth wash. you will be amaized how much your cravings will go away. I think it is because the gum and the mouth wash makes the food taist bad so then you wont want to eat it. If you really want to snack on and off, then get vegetables and eat that. They are very good for you and some a great taising. I love celery, carrots, and just about any vegetables. I can eat most vegetables raw. Even potatos. I know i am weird. you should try the potato with some salt on it raw. It is actually pritty good. Or if you really get snacky then have a salad with a low fat or nonfat dressing.

Actually I am a veggie lover as well and really my issue is not what I eat it is when I think. I eat in the morning run around eat a lunch run around get dinner and relax just long enough to get a shower and then it's off to bed. I rarely snack which is bad since then I eat a lot at the meals. I have to figure out how to eat in places you are not allowed to eat while out and about so that I am not starving when it is time for a meal. I was on Sparkle and for the last three days I have not gotten up to my allotted calories which is very surprising and deflating because wouldn't that mean I should be losing weight?

I have done online dieting, and I can tell you that there are only two that work really well. People can say and promote what they want about all those miracle diet pills, and I have spent a lot of money on them. But, when it comes right down to it, I love food, and no pill is going to come between me and a gourmet dinner...or lunch...or breakfast. Anyway, if you are willing to pay money, and if you do this, you really have to stick to it, use weight watchers. The only proven weight loss program that works, is counting calories and doing moderate exercise. Because I don't like to waste the money because I am perfectly capable of counting calories and eating a balanced diet, I use Sparkle people. It gives you recipies, there are forums to weigh in, it gives great motivation to have you track diet, exercise, water intake, and any other goal that you want to track. It's like weight watchers, only free. I like the way that it keeps me honest with my weight, but without the embarrassment of doing it in front of other people...like a weight watchers meeting. Best of luck!!

I did weight watchers for 2 years and it just didn't work well for me. I am not organized enough for the points system. I do still use it as a base for what I eat portions wise and what not but that is all. Sparkle people is actually the site I just joined so I am hoping they will make it easy enough for me to keep track but I am not so sure I will remember to put what I ate earlier as I am not on the computer all day or is it on at all.
